Hi I am from Sokolove Law.

Im part of our consumer rights group that works on consumer credit abuse claims. We have been reviewing thousands of potential claims where Santander may have breached their contracts in the way it charges fees to consumers. Their debt collection actions may have also violated the Fair  Debt Collection Practices Act and the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.

According to MSNBC,  Santander is being accused of a number of questionable debt collection techniques, including illegally repossessing cars from active duty military while they were overseas, making as many as 800 robocalls to a single person, grossly overcharging for late fees, and making harassing phone calls to neighbors, friends, co-workers and children.

For folks interested in learning more about Santander and their credit practices, there is great information available at http://awe.sm/5c9PM. If you think you might have a claim, call our office at 888-820-1688 to learn about your options and receive a free legal consultation.

Santander

AUTHOR: Joseph Brown - (USA)

POSTED: Thursday, December 22, 2011

Hate to inform you Robert, but the guy is right. According to Bud Hibbs, and I'm sure you know the name and web site, Santander being a very large European bank is also in the debt collection business, too. Now they're getting ready to in Hibbs words hit the US hot and heavy. Now whether the OP actually works for Sokolove or not, I don't know. I only know what Hibbs posted and it ain't pretty.
What the OP posted about as many as 800 calls to one person, repoing AD military vehicles, etc is all listed on his site. Check it out.

Your from a law firm?

If you are really from a Law Firm you are not doing much in posting this "ad" to try and drum up business.   Why do I say this...well I may not be a lawyer but I have actually read the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act(FDCPA) and know there is one key fact you seem to be missing.

The FDCPA has to do with 3rd Party Collection Agencies, that is companies who PRIMARY purpose is debt collection.   This is not Santander primary business and they are considered an Original Creditor.   This means that any suit against them for FDCPA violations would be thrown out.

As for the claims you HEARD from a news channel.  If you want to know what rights Service members have let me help you out by giving you a little hint.  Search for "SCRA".  Sorry but you will have to do the rest to figure it out.

I hope that the firm you work for actually gave you permission to post this, if not and they ever find out you posted it you may no longer have a job.
