S.A.R. & Associates I received the exact same letter as others Fr. Lauderdale Florida

On Friday, October 9, 2015, I was left a voice mail message on my cell phone. In summary, the message stated that "The Civil Procedures Division had legal documents regarding a complaint filed in their office. Failure to call back would result in legal action moving forward against me." On Saturday, October 16. 2015, I returned the call and was told that S.A.R. Associates was collecting for LTS Case Management for an online loan (Loan Shop) in my name. On May 21, 2012. I was informed that although the original amount was $450.00, due to fees and late charges the loan had escalated to $1792.43. Since I had not requested this loan online, I asked for validation of the debt. S.A.R. & Associates quoted an old email account, my social security number, address, and cell phone number. I told the representative that I had been a victim of identity theft and that my personal information was among the "thieves". I was told that I am being held responsible for the debt. A solution was presented to me: Pay $50.00 by 5:00 pm that day, and set up arrangements to pay two (2) additional payments of $194.00, and the account would be settled for $388.00 and no further legal action would occur. Needless, to say, since I did not apply for an online loan or receive any funds from this company, I refused to pay any money. I did contact a reputable company for legal advice.

On Friday, November 6, 2015, I received the following letter from S.A.R. & Associates:

Original Amount Due: $1450.00

Original Date: 7/20/2012;

SSN: ***-***-****

Your defaulted account was recently turned over to S.A.R. & Associates; it is now active in our internal Civil Procedures Department. Several attempts to resolve this outstanding balance have been ignored. It is impertaive you resolve this matter immediately.

At this time we are offering you an opportunity to enroll into an affordable discounted reprayment plan to resolve this outstanding balance. Enrolling in this program will avoid further civil action from taking place against you and will stop any future negative reporting to your credit report.

Call us today at 866-408-3383 to avoid further action from taking place against you. If this matter is not resolved we reserve the right to commence legal proceedings to recover the outstanding balance without further notice to you.
