You are being warned not to go to Sears Auto Center at the Hoover location. Robert is a shuckin' and jivin' manager who speaks down to you in condescending loud voice and will screw you over. I brought my car in for a second opinion having just replaced a back motor mount and a thermostat. I was brought back to the shop and told there was nothing wrong with my car. The thermostat was fine and said they ran my car well over a hour and the fans kicked in. The noise when I put my car in reverse was the back motor mount and go back to NTB who did the work. â¨â¨I went to pay them for inspecting my car and they said there was no charge. I waited 10 minutes to bring my car out of the garage and I asked Robert where is my car? He told me I had to back out my car. The tech was gone. I said, are you sure I can back out my own car? Yeah it is okay he said. But, you have liability laws that a customer does not go to the back of the garage and I have never in my life had to back my car out my car out of a mechanic garage. When I went to back my car out my car, my car would not move. I asked the mechanic who worked on my car who just came back said, are you in reverse I said yes. Is there a ramp bar blocking my tire? My car would not move. I towed my car to a transmission shop and my car reverse is ruin. The mechanic let my car run too long and over heated my tranny. I knew something was not right when I had to back my car out and called the shop the next day and asked the assistant manager if you allow customers to back out their own cars? She said no for liability reasons. â¨â¨Made calls to the national customer server center and made a complaint. I was told I would get a call in two days from the district manager. Instead, Robert call and left me a message with a loud and angry tone. It took four days for district manager Ben Harbor to call. He was an unprofessional a-hole over the phone and refused any responsibility or liability since I was the last person to touch my car and there was previous condition and wish me good luck getting a new car. â¨â¨Do not trust these people for anything. There is a reason Sears is going out of business.
