Stove 790.92603012

I had this stove since may 2011. Today the back panel began to spark and began a fire in my house. Luckily I was standing near the stove and ran down and killed the power to the stove and prevented the fire from spreading. Kenmore and sears do not stand by their product and are unwilling to do anyone for me. All they could say is sorry you didn't buy the extended warranty. They refuse to take down any of the information about the fire and are not concerned about what happened for other users. Do not buy this stove or if you know of anyone that has it make sure they are aware of this.

My point...

My point is how can you expect either of them to do ANYTHING 2 years after the fact? You have no extended warrenty. Neither Sears or Kenmore used this oven at all. If you had a repair person out there working on your stove 3 months AFTER your purchase then they would be the last responsable party.

I show you this because you seem to think youre entitled to more then everyone else. Yes you have a issue with your oven, I understand that. But to expect any company to do more then they are legally obligated to is assinine. NOTE THE WORDING!!!! LEGALLY OBLIGATED....

Ofcourse they wont do anything for you. They dont know if your a scammer or not. Companies will no longer go that extra mile to assist customers because the customers want more and more. Customers commit some of the worst fraud out there. The "golden rule" of the customer is always right died in the 80's. Now its "The customer is trying to screw the company" which is more often the case. Ppl are always looking to pass the blame to someone else so they dont have to pay for it.

You neglected to post that you had someone work on your oven after the purchase. This means you are going after the largest wallet you can. It would be clear to any lawyer that the person who did the work AFTER your purchase would be the responsable party if anything happend. So why are you not going after them?? They not big enough?

Both Sears and Kenmore had no part in the USE of your oven. They can only do what they are LEGALLY allowed to do. If your expecting them to do more then that, then you are about to be disappointed. THEY WILL NO LONGER DO AS THEY DID BEFORE BECAUSE THEY HAVE BEEN SO BURNT BY THE CONSUMER THAT IN ORDER TO STAY IN BUSINESS THEY NEEDED TO TAKE A HARDER STANCE. Consumer BS issues such as fraud costs companies billions a year. Why should they spend more money on consumers who are just looking to screw someone over.

You have to understand.....all they want is thier money. They no longer give charity. The CEO doesnt get a new jet if he plays nice with his customer base.

So you see no problem if your stoves panel wiring starts shoiting off sparks. i did nothing wrong with the unit. In fact wehad technicisns out thefirst three months to look at it because the heating element wasnt witking corrcetly. Thry of course said nothing was wtong. i hope if you have a kennore it begins to spark and if your lucky you willbe by it so you dont lose your house. If i wasnt by the stove when it happened we would be talking thousands of dollars of loss. conpanies have to be liable or at the very least they should send someone out to record data so this doesnt happen yo someone else.

Sorry but...

Sears is correct. You have had the oven AND used it your own way for over 2 years. If you did not have any extended warrenty then Sears cant do much for you. See Sears would have sold you a new oven, during the past 2 years you have used this oven. Sears holds no responsability for any damages done during your use of it. Now If you truly feel you had NO PART in the ovens failing, then you need to get a SEARS electrician out there and have them write down that it is a manufacturer mistake, if there is one.

If there isnt and its a enviromental factor such as pests ect, then its all on you and next time get the extended warrenty. You went cheap last time you purchased a oven. Im sure your thought processes were that its a oven what could happen? It stops heating? I will just buy another one. Well now you see why a extended warrenty is offered. Sometime s**t happends and you need to be covered. Not every warrenty offered covers EVERYTHING. In this case though it simply sounds like you have a short. Which would have been repaired under a warrenty.

Also just a FYI, you are pulling the standard consumer BS. You have a issue and want someone else to be responsable for it. You want Sears and Kenmore to "do something for you" which is cheapass speak for :looking to have someone else pay for it". DOnt do that. Really.

Neither Sears or Kenmore have ANY part in HOW you used your oven. They sold you a oven and it worked fine for 2 years. They had no part in your ovens maintnence. Thats all on how you keep your house.
