Sensate Technology Invisible Internet Identity Thieves Ventura California

As a mother of four, I am very careful with money and I monitor my bank account closely. It is for this reason that the invalid charge in the amount of $10.65 caught my attention. Initiated by a company called "Sensate Technology", the unauthorized amount appeared during the height of the Christmas season. I contacted my bank, filed a dispute, and waited.

On Wednesday, January 23, 2008, I received a reply from my bank stating that they had contacted Sensate and were assured that the charge was valid, therefore they would not be returning the stolen funds. Attached to this letter was a photocopied, poorly written statement supposedly from Sensate, claiming that since my card number was used, obviously I HAD made the charge and that their "business" was built on "trust" in their customers, a trust I was obviously trying to break. Following this were 4 pages of other people's credit information including their names, addresses, credit card numbers with expiration dates, and e-mail addresses. My information was at the end of this list as was an incorrect e-mail address that the Web Template I supposedly ordered was sent to.

I did not order anything from Sensate Technology, I have no idea if they are even a legitimate company, and yet they have stolen money from me. My bank has been completely ineffective in recovering my money and I have had to cancel my debit card, which is a huge inconvienience. If anyone has also had trouble with this company and has had the matter resolved to their satisfaction, please let me know how you accomplished this. Surely something can be done to put these thieves out of business.
