Ship Your Car Now was hired by my car dealer to transport my Brand New Car I purchased from Largo, FL to Miami Beach, FL.

My vehicle's original location was located in Alaska, where my dealer utilized this same company and they messed up on the delivery to them also which took an abnormal amount of time while the car was being stored in Washington State.

After finally getting my car from Washington State to my dealer in Largo, FL after approx 1 month.

It then took Ship Your Car Now almost 3 1/2 days to drive it from Largo, FL. to Miami Beach, FL. ( I was promised delievery Saturday, August 3rd, 2013.)

The driver Called me on Friday, August 2nd, 2013 and stated he was in Orlando, FL., Driver went on to tell me he would be at my home in Miami Beach, FL first thing Monday morning on August 5th, 2013. I asked him why he was in Orlando FL., since Orlando is out of the way between Largo, FL and Miami, FL? Driver stated he had a tire problem?? (Note: Driver barely spoke any English).

Monday, August 5th, 2013 at 12:30pm, I get a call from the driver stating he is approaching West Palm Beach, FL (WPB is at best 2 hours away from my location in Miami Beach). It is now 2:30pm and no driver with my car.. I wait an hour until 3:30pm and call the person I was dealing with by the name of Isaac David. He said he would find out what is going on. The driver then texts my cell phone to say he is 40 minutes away on I-95 South.

The driver finally gets to my location at 4:15pm. If you saw the trailer my car was transported on you would be in shock. This trailer is a broken down rust bucket (I wouldnt transport anything on this trailer let alone brand new cars!!) and this trailer broke down on the driver numerous times while in route from Largo to Orlando to Miami Beach, FL. The driver said he had to go to a Home Depot on the drive to get bolts and harware to rig the trailer and replace bolts that snapped off the leaf springs of the trailer and made the trailer dig into the trailer's tire causing flat tires.

The driver takes my vehicle off the trailer and backs it into my driveway. During this time I am on the sidewalk and only see the passenger side of my BRAND NEW CAR. I walk over to the driver side after he has the car in my driveway and see that the front driver side tire is flat. I asked the driver why is my tire flat? He replies "It just needs air". I say to him "Why would a Brand New Tire that just left the dealer need air?". He shrugs his shoulder like he didnt know what I was talking about.

After inspecting the tire I notice what caused the flat tire. The driver of the broken busted trailer had the tie straps tied through the wheel of the tire bending the Air / Valve Stem with the strap the entire ride to my house causing the valve stem to get cut by the rim.

I inform the driver of this damage and also called Isaac David immeadiatly to inform him as well. The driver then gets in hs truck with what appeared to a young boy he was driving with (maybe his son?) of approx 10 to 12 years old and drives away. Isaac asked me if I signed any paperwork and I told him no I didnt. He then sent the driver back to my location for me to sign. The driver handed me a pen to sign this white paper folded and said sign here. "This paper is to show you got the car." AT NO TIME DID THE DRIVER SAY THIS WAS AN INSPECTION SHEET to note any defects that may have been caused during transport.

I come to find out that the Valve Stem has a Sensor on the wheel which costs $88.05 at the Ford Dealer. The labor to replace it is $120.00 and I dont know if this even includes balancing the tire again. So basically over $200 I am going to be out of pocket to fix a brand new car.

I contact Isaac David and he says "Since you signed the paperwork there is nothing I can do."

Customer Satisfaction

AUTHOR: shipyourcarnow - ()

POSTED: Tuesday, November 19, 2013

We here at ship your car now take this very seriously.  The vehicle was delayed from Alaska to Washington state due to auction house it was purchased from releasing the wrong vehicle to the carrier.  This was not Ship Your Car No's fault at all.  Once the error was uncovered, the correct vehicle was released and transport to the dealership in Largo.  Then, the customer requested that the dealer install options which delayed the final portion of the move.  Then carrier did infact cause damage to the customers tire.  The customer was compensated for all costs incurred to replace the valve stem on the tire.  Customer was beyond happy with the resolution.  The customer was taken care of and the transport was concluded.

Ship Your Car Agreed to Help Fix Problem.

AUTHOR: Florida Group - ()

POSTED: Thursday, August 08, 2013

I was contacted by Anthony from Ship Your Car Now and had an extensive phone converstaion with him. Anthony was a gentleman and sympathetic to my problem at hand and basically agreed to compensate me for the tire valve that was damaged although he did not have to. Anthony went on to tell me alot of times they do not meet or even see the drivers that are contracted to transport their customer's vehicles as long as they are licensed accordingly and if their insurance is up to par then they use them as drivers. Ship Your Car Now will no longer use that driver that transported my vehicle after what I explained to Anthony about the condition of his driver's trailer and the overall situation that took his driver so long to get me my vehicle. Anthony also stated that the driver will not get paid due to the problems that occured and instead will reimburse me for the bill to get my tire repaired.

I am going to try and get to the Ford Dealer today, August 8th, 2013 as I am going to call my Ford Dealer now. If they can not take me today then first thing in the morning tomorrow.

I will forward the bill from the Ford dealer to Anthony who said he will make this right and that is very commendable I must say.

I was extremely annoyed at first after waiting a long time for my car and after it arrived having this problem with the tire. Anthony also explained in detail to me the cause of the delay and now I have a better understanding as to why it took as long as it did. It was initially a mix up where my car had originated from, which was Alaska. The wrong vehicle was given to Ship Your Car Now and had to be returned and swapped out with my vehicle and basically transporting a car from Alaska is not an easy task considering the vehicle had to go on a barge or ship to get to Washington State .. then be driven across the United States West to East..with their driver making stops for rest along the way which is very understandable.

In closing .. I am happy that Anthony was helpful in explaining the logistics of a complex transport and is making everything right to make me happy and enjoying my new vehicle.

Thank You Anthony... !
