Silv Communications Slamming, switched my business' telephone service without authorization Los Angeles California

Silv Communications contacted in my company in January 2006 and said they were calling from Verizon (our phone carrier) and asked if we wanted to take advantage of the 30% discount that had been offered to us when we opened the account. I knew that this must be a scam (come on, your phone company calling with a discount!) but I was curious and kept them on the phone to see what kind of questions they would ask. They asked for some personal information - date of birth and social security number. I didn't give it to them and also told them that I was recording the phone call. The caller hung up but my next Verizon bill showed that my service had been canceled effective that day. I had been slammed by Silv Communications. Calls to the company are either unanswered or not returned.
