No hidden Cameras here.

AUTHOR: Simple Car Store, AGM - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, September 14, 2011

This is not a customer. This is a contractor from Schmidt's AC Service Company that we had come in for a quote to fix our air-conditioning. He began working without permission or even an appraisal. Just approached us with a $700 bill after an hour that wasn't even calculated right. And as far as we can see the AC was still not working. Then, when we went to discuss this bill with my manager after telling this guy he was out of line we over heard him on the phone with his boss saying he was going to wreck our unit irreparably "like they did in the old days." Nice huh? Now this. Don't use Schmidt's AC Service Company.

I went ahead and posted a picture of one of our "hidden" cameras. We, as many companies do these days, use cameras for security purposes. Our interest rates are posted on our websites, nothing hidden about that. FTC would have nothing to do with this and we offer a link to the AG directly on our website and have a clean reputation with them.

Please check out the picture of the "hidden camera" right in the middle of our showroom, lol.

This is not a customer. This is a contractor from Schmidt's AC Service Company that we had come in for a quote to fix our air-conditioning. He began working without permission or even an appraisal. Just approached us with a $400 bill after an hour that wasn't even calculated right. And as far as we can see the AC was still not working. The above is from your posting.

In actuality, these places prey on the simple minded...it's ever so easy.

Gotcha, didn't they?  :)

Cameras are Everywhere....

AUTHOR: Jim - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, August 28, 2011

Evidence of a hidden camera is not evidence of anything except a hidden camera.  In case you haven't figured it out, the city has hidden cameras everywhere - so do businesses, restaurants, grocery stores, etc....  The fact they exist - means you're being watched.  However it doesn't mean you're being ripped off.  If you didn't like the deal, you have 2 feet - you could have walked out.  They might have even made you a better deal once you got off your feet to head for the door.

In order for any of the agencies you're talking about, the dealership would have had to break one type of law or another, right?  Well, here's something to consider:

1.  There is no limit on interest rates you can be charged for a loan in AZ.  Pay day loans charge an interest rate of 99+% interest on a loan.  My guess is your interest rate is less than this, even if you have the credit score of a deadbeat.  The AG is going to politely answer in a form letter and then probably not find anything wrong.

2.  Used cars are generally sold "as is", unless the dealership or manufacturer offer some type of warranty.  Generally speaking (and you don't address this), but the car was likely sold as is.  The right thing to do is to bring a mechanic friend with you to check the car prior to purchase.  Again, the law allows "as is" contracts to exist, so I don't know what you expect the AG to do.

Oh, and if you're going to post something on here, keep in mind that this is an open forum; telling people not to respond, accusing people of working for the company, and typing in all capital letters is not only annoying, it does nothing to enhance your credibility.  They have the right to respond as much as you have the right to post here.  At the end of the day, this is not a rip off.

buyer's remorse

If you are not satisfied with the interest rate that you previously agreed to, then it's a case of buyer's remorse instead of a rip off.

And I noticed you didn't answer any of the questions asked.

By the way you hint that the above poster is an employee of this dealer.  That is pretty standard to accuse someone of being an employee when you have nothing to back up your claim.  Oh and before you ask, I do not work for this or any dealer.

What, exactly, was the Ripoff?

AUTHOR: Ken - (USA)

POSTED: Sunday, August 28, 2011

Did they force you to sign an unfair contract?

You, of course, have proof they were spying on you and others?

Is this just a case of buyer's remorse?

I think most of us would like to know, just how you are a victim.
