I guess I SHOULD'VE Listened to all the complaints I read on this company. Somehow, I thought I could trust them, but NOT. They needed $1500.00 down NOT the $500.00 they advertise. They then took me to see their inventory of JUNK vehicles. I bought because I needed to get to my new job, which was very hard to get in this economy. I've since lost that job because the car broke down 4 different times within 31/2 weeks. Simple Car Store General Manager would do NOTHING to help me. He offered to sell me a different car, but I would again need $1500.00 Can't afford that, so now I am stuck with a piece of JUNK that will ruin my credit!!

Pauleen?

We do not have a customer by that name but I will assume you are not using your real name.  I will encourage you to contact us as I do all customers who are having difficulties instead of just anonymously slandering us on this website. We would never have said you needed to put a additional $1500 to get into a different car unless it was a pure case of neglect. In regards to the first $1,500 down, there must have been extraordinary circumstances that required that and that was probably far less than the 2-4k many dealerships would require. Additionally I challenge you why you did not purchase a extended warranty. I myself drive a 2002 explorer with 108,000 miles on it. I did not blame the dealership I bought it from when the fuel pump went out and left me stranded on the side of the road a couple of months ago. I foresaw that owning a used car at a cheap price comes with the risk of repair issues. I purchased one of the extended warranties for only $40 a month and on the day my fuel pump went out do you know what it cost me. Free towing and roadside assistance, free rental car. MY TOTAL COST was $100 for a deductible on $500 worth of work. Simple Car Store offers warranties that are good at any shop virtually nationwide with roadside assistance included at a cost as low as a dollar a day. We run all our cars through a 3rd party inspection prior to purchase for our lot and while we always attempt to make sure they are the best, the ultimately are a used vehicle. That's why they have warranties available. We have thousands of customers who never have any issues and never need a warranty, but still have it in the event of emergency.

You read complaints about the company; then they requested a deposit that was triple the advertised amount, but you still trusted them. So smart.
