The advertisement was for a 4 piece set of Smart Lids for $10.00 with a $7.95 charge for processing and handling. The "free offer" was for a second 4 piece set and a bonus jumbo lid included for another $7.95 shipping charge.

Here are the actual order details from their website:

Offer Details: Today and for a limited-time only, you'll get our 4 piece Smart Lid set with one small lid, one large lid, and 2 medium lids for just $10:00 plus $7.95 processing and handling. And, we'll send you a second set of lids FREE as our gift to you. We'll also include our Bonus Jumbo lid Free! Just pay $7.95 to cover the processing and handling. Smart Lids store your foods fresh, fast and easy. With just one press, Smart Lids lock out air and vacuum seal in freshness, whether you're storing soups, fruits, salad, or even easily dried-out mac and cheese or pasta! In fact, foods stored with Smart Lids stay fresh 5 times longer than those covered with ordinary plastic wrap, which makes them the best way to store anything.

Let's get this straight, $10 for the product and "free offer," then total processing and handling of $15.90.

So tell me why the processing and handling comes out to $23.85 on my packing slip? That is $7.95 more than advertised. It's like they charged me a processing fee for the "bonus" jumbo lid.

At this point I've already opened the box and that means that I have to pay for shipping to return the product. Well fair enough, the company will reimburse me right for processing and handling? Wrong.

Folks, don't waste your money with this because it isn't worth the hassle. If the business were legit, the ordering over the phone wouldn't be half as hard (see other report - http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/0/308/RipOff0308357.htm). Believe me, you don't want to deal with their automated ordering that takes 15-20 minutes to complete and their unresponsive and unhelpful customer service.

The automated machine ordering system has you speaking both your address and credit card number into the recording. It's very frustrating and leaves so much room for error. However, to their credit I did actually receive the package.

The advertisement offers a "30 day money back guarantee" less shipping and handling. Well at this point I have the product and have already gotten twice the product cost out of me from the processing fees ($23.85). So if I were to return it, they I would only get $10 back from the $33.85 that was charged. Watch out friends, this is not a fair business.
