Software Pros Computer Software SCAM Internet

I thought I was purchasing 3 years of security from Avast for what seemed to be a good deal.  I believed that I was on the AVAST website since it looked exactly as it had when I did the free trial for the software.  I was instructed to log in with my email address to download the program that I thought I had just purchased and was then redirected to the Software Pros website.  Once I logged in with my email address I began to realize that something wasn't right.  I then looked under the Billing portion and emailed requesting a refund, and also called the phone number which gives the illusion that you will speak to a real human but is actually a ridiculous loop.  They responded to my voicemail by email telling me that since I logged into the membership I was not able to get a refund.  The amount charged to my account was for $99.98 which is not what I thought I was spending in the first place.  I did not download the software, and after getting no assistance from them I started looking into it further only to realize that the software that they were giving me to download was the FREE Avast trial not even 3 years worth of security which is what I agreed to buy.  They still refused to give me a refund even after I replied again with this new information.  I have since found numerous complaints of similar experiences that others have had on here, and only wish I had realized it sooner.  I have contacted my bank, filed a fraud charge for the amount, and cancelled my debit card as well.  I hope that with all of these complaints something is done about this crooked company!
