On August 8th I placed a transmition order over the phone with Southwest Engines for $570. The person who was taking the order placed the order and told me everything was fine that I would get an email confirmation via email. On August 9th I got an email stated that I need to review & complete the invoice form with my vehicle information, sign it and either fax or email the paper to them. when the received the paper with my signature then they will shipped the transmission to the car repair shop within 7-10 business day. So I called them to cancel the transaction since it has not been processed yet, and the person who took my order did not tell me all that and I needed my car to get fixed as soon as possible.
They wanted me to pay 25% cancellation’s fee when I called to cancel the transaction before they processed the order. So I questioned them about the fee since I was not told about it when I was placing the order, they became very rude and hung up the phone when I mentioned to them that I was going to file a complaint to the Better Business Bureau. I called them back several times after they hung up but they did not pick up the phone. They attempted to deliver the transmission on August 20th but it was refused by the mechanic because the car was no longer with him, also he was aware of the cancellation dispute with Southwest Engines.
They only refunded $77 out of the $570 and claiming more bogus fees such as $490 for shipping cost but the order paperwork stated that shipping cost is $0. I Cancelled the order before they processed it, I contacted the Bank of America and The Better Business Bureau and filed a claim the same day of the cancellation dispute when they tried to charge me their bogus fees; why would they delivered the transmission after I cancelled and they were contacted by both Bank of America and the Better Business Bureau regarding my claim? The transmission cost was $570; they charged me $490 for nothing and kept the transmission in their possession.
