Spirit airlines they charged a 371.91 fee for cancelling a flight because of my wife's mother passed away Miramar Fl 33025 Nationwide

On Jan 5 2015, we booked a round trip flight from Detroit to New Orleans, for a military reunion on May 4th 2015

On May 2 2015 my wife's mother passed away, I called the airline to cancel and they charged us 371.91 for cancelling and the flight only cost 466.31.  they charged 90.00 for bags,  40.00 for seats, and gave us a 94.00 credit to use within 60 days, so after 60 days they get all the money the flight cost.

I do not think we should be penalized that much do to a death in the family
