Spokeo This company. That I have never even heard of. Has been taking money from me for who knows what reason! They didn't ask my permisson. They just took it! Better yet. I don't know what Spokeo IS! N/A Internet

 Spokeo. A place I never heard off. Has been taking my money monthly. I never heard of this place or site, nor have I ever put my information near Spokeo. I have been charged around 9 or 12$ monthly. Near the end of the month. When I clearly have NOTHING to spend. And I have been owning the bank loads of money and I've been lacking on my bills... I want to be removed from this and i want my money back!

I purchased a $2 background check offered to me by an ad.  I'm sure somewhere in there in really small print I agreed to purchase a subscription.  You do a very good job of disguising it.

Dear Spokeo User,

We understand your concern and wish to assist in resolving this issue. In order for a Spokeo subscription to be created, a user must navigate to our website at www.spokeo.com and either click on the "Sign Up" button or perform a search and click on the "Get Full Results" button. The user would then be required to enter in a full 16 digit credit or debit card number along with the card's matching security code, cardholder name, card expiration date, card billing zip code, and enter a valid email address that becomes the username associated with the account. Once this information has been entered, the Terms of Use agreement must be checked and agreed to and then the "Purchase" button must be hit. Once these actions are completed and the information is verified as valid and matching, the user must then fill out a brief survey and set an account password to begin using the subscription. A purchase confirmation receipt is also sent to the account's email address. We are more than happy to comply with our customer's wishes to cancel their subscriptions, or opt out of Spokeo.com. For assistance, please contact a member of our Customer Care team by calling 888-906-0850 at your earliest convenience.
