I am truly blown away.

On May 13 I called Sprint for two reasons:

  1. I needed to return the AirRave REQUIRED FOR ANY CELL SERVICE AT MY HOUSE 1 BLOCK FROM SAN DIEGO STATE UNIVERSITY WITH OVER 60,000 STUDENTS!
  2. I informed Sprint that I was going to be ending my Sprint service that I thought had completed its 2 year cycle on May 15 (2 days after my call).

Sprint support said "that's fine" when I spoke about ending my contract, and gave no indication that there would be ANY repercussions related to me ending my contract.  I thought "great, I'm good to go for my new galaxy S4 with T-Mobile.  A carrier that actually has 4G service."  Sprint customers, you really don't know what you are missing.  T-Mobile DECIMATES Sprint's coverage.

Guess what?  Almost a month later (6/10) I found a bill with $265 in repercussions for me ending my service.  How the **** can someone tell me that I am good to go for cancellation, and then I get stuck with a huge bill.  And on top of that, they won't own up to their mistake!

Their customer service system is HORRIBLE.  You get bounced from one supervisor to the next for a few hours only to get to a 24 hour callback that never happens.  I was supposed to get two 24 hour callbacks and have not received any calls.  2 of my phone lines were 31 days from my contract end date, and 3 lines were 40 days away according to the bill that had termination charges.

How could someone in support say that I will have no problems with cancelling when I give them a specific date that I intended to cancel on?  Now I have to pay for their mistake because I would have absolutely waited till my Sprint contract was over before cancelling.

I'm going to be spreading my experience with as many people as possible.  I'm making it a personal mission to save others the headache that I've had to deal with.

Sprint: Own up to your errors!  Don't make people like me have to pay for your mistakes!  Keep this up and you are absolutely destined to fail when there are companies like T-Moble that value their customers, give excellent cell coverage, and don't directly lie to their customers!!!!
