The standard trust co. sent me a check for $4875.00 as a tax payment on the sum of $125,000.00 in a lottery winning. At first I was telling myself this is too good to be true.

I called a Mr. Peters and spoke with him about the check. He said just deposit the check in my account and call him back then he'll release the balance of my winnings.

My thoughts were to cash the check first and then put the money in my account. The check cashing firm took the check and told me it was bad.

I came back home and contacted Mr. Peters again to ask what was going on. He put me on hold and never returned. My hope is that these people are caught one day and brought to justice.
