Standard Trust, Inc. Another Scam Artist At It Again!!!! Toronto Ontario

Add me to the list of names as receiving a letter, and very professional looking check in the amount of $1250.00 in the mail telling me that I had been one of 32 lucky winners winning $125,000.00. the letter stated that I must call the number shown in the letter before doing anything with the check. I called Gerald Moss, Claims/Disbursement Manager.

He explained to me, in a very heavy accent, that I needed to deposit the check in my account and go to Western Union to wire $875.00 to him and call him back immediately after the check was deposited. He in turn would have the check for $125,000.00 sent to me either by Fed Ex or DHL. The winning amount was mine to keep and the $875.00 was to pay for the taxes in Canada.

The check issured for $1,250.00 is written thru Norwalk Bank & Trust and the check has Standard Trust, Inc. with an address that is listed as a racquet club in Darien, Ct. I have tried doing research to find out anything about this company and have not found out anything until I got the website saying this was a scam.

Like "They" say, if it's too good to be true, it must be!!!
