Standard Trust Inc Phony Sweepstakes Saint John New Brunswick

There is a pretty alaborate scam going on out there. I recently just recieved in the mail this phony sweepstakes claim from a cat named H. Ford. For a sweepstakes I never enter and even recieved a very passable bogus check said to be certified check from Bank Of America in the amount of $4900. Which was supposed to go towards the paying of the Canadian tax on a much larger prize of $250,000.00. Naturally I was excited, but skeptical all the same. Still I took this check to the local a Bank of America, handed this worthless check to the teller, who brought over the Branch Mgr. who then informed me what I had already suspected, that despite the remarkable craftmanship, the check was not a valid check. After further investigating I have come to find out alittle more about this scam. First of all the company is a bogus company, the contact given is never available, only some broad who I guess informs the poor people who actually contact the given # to cash the check, and then go to a Money Gram and send the money to phony agent in Saint John, NB Canada. The Money Gram address given isn't even 1 of the 5 Money Gram locations in Saint John. Complete and total scam aimed at people bank information. I don't know how many unsuspecting people for whom these con artists have actually taken advantage of, but clearly they have found some sort of sucess before. Hopefully this helps anyone who reads this in time.
