I, too, am a victim of the Star Rebates Inc. "Monthly Gift Cards" rebate program. It was a free gift from a vacation plan prgram. All we had to do was complete the application and send it to Star Rebates,INC., along with a MONEY ORDER for $15.95. It had to be a money order according to the directions. The money order cost an extra $1.99.

When that was complete I expected an email telling me that I could start shopping and saving the grocery puchase receipts. Not until a month later did I think to go back into the website and then found that I was approved.

I went shopping and saved my receipts. Of course, there was a limit as to how much I could send. The total allowed was $100 in receipts per month which would award me a $20 VISA gift card. I sent the required information making sure that the form was properly completed, the receipts showed at least 75% food items (in my case they were 95% food items), and they were all dated for the same month, and mailed that the same month. The original receipts had to be sent, I made copies of mine. Ten months later I still have not received anything but the answer to my email;, We have a high volumn of respones, keep sending receipts, the rebate will be sent soon.

When I attempted to send the next months receipts to the company I missed getting them itemized and sent before the last day of the month. The system that Star Rebates set up would not let me enter anything after the last day of the month. Those receipts are still sitting in a folder. The third month came along and I was very careful to make sure all receipts were compliant and that the form was properly completed and sent on time. There was still no response from the company for either of the months that had the receipts and request for sent. I sent a second email again asking what happened. Again, I got the rsponse that they were very busy and keep sending receipts.

I did not send anything else to this company until last month when I sent a letter to the Seattle, Washington office. Of course, no response. I have found several other compaints about the same company and will join the others in filing complaints and letting it be known that State Rabates Inc. and their Grocery Rebates program is a big RIP OFF.

I did not "play the game" very long, but it angers me that my time was wasted, they promised $20 per month and did not send anything, and I am out $17.94 for the required money order.
