Starving Students moving ripoff Damaged Furniture Failure to Honor Contract Failure to Respond to Claims Request Las Vegas Nevada

Without going into too much detail, here are the facts:

We contracted with Starving Students to move our furniture across town. They shrink-wrapped it, but apparently did not use any moving blankets, because virtually EVERY piece of furniture was scratched, dinged or gouged.

The driver listed the damaged items that we discovered when they delivered the furniture. Unfortunately, we later discovered more damages. Nevertheless, we tried to file a claim on the listed items.

All we got from the Claims Department was a recorded message. Nobody returned our calls.

Ultimately, after several weeks, we contacted the Nevada Department of Transportation. The investigator assigned to our case was very helpful. Sure enough, once Starving Students felt the pressure from the Transportation Board, they contacted us and sent us the necessary claim forms.

While this did lead to a settlement, it was for a fraction of the cost of the damage.

All we wanted from Starving Students, was for them to move our furniture without inflicting damage. They failed to do this. We cannot recommend this company to anyone.

I wish we would've known about Ripoff Report before we moved, because Starving Students has had numerous complaints filed against them.
