Summer Bay Resort Unfair & Illegal Lending, Finance Practices Ripoff Clermont Florida

We purchased a 3-bedroom lock-out at Summer Bay Resort in Clermont, FL. Right off the bat, we had problems. Summer Bay was taking money via direct debit, but not posting the payments to our account. After several months of harassing phone calls, and us faxing bank statements to them several times, Summer Bay finally determined the error was on their end, and that our payments had been going to another acount.

NO APOLOGY FOR THEIR ERROR.

Everything seemed to be going OK, so we (our mistake) quit checking the bank statement every month. In April 2005, WE discover that Summer Bay hasn't taken a payment since August of 2004. They have been charging additional late fines and interest, but never once contacted us.

WE DISCOVERED THEIR ERROR! We call Summer Bay to report the error in April, 2005 and have been getting nowhere fast. Now we get letters and phone calls threating us!

We did get an email back saying he would look into the matter. Only one week has passed since his email. We will keep you posted as to what if anything changes.

In the meantime, if you decide to by into Summer Bay Resort, do not use their financing. They seem to have a very high turn over rate, and we continue to have difficulties.

If you are already an owner at Summer Bay Resort, please contact Mr. Sagherian and inform him that as an owner, you what a FULL OUTSIDE INDEPENDENT AUDIT. We can't be the only ones who "slipped through the cracks." How much is this costing us the owners?
