sunmount feels employees are slaves 16 hour shifts they don't care if we have families. If you call in sick you are put on the pac program if your overtired and make a mistake in what your doing or say something wrong you could be put out on administrative leave maybe it is a day a week or months. Supervisors think they can get away with harrasment to employees or hitting clients remember not to long ago Amy jenkins you were guilty of this many heard you say it.Have you screwed on the pool table at work lately play sweet but everyone better.

Hey Kate Malerba have you hug and kissed your favorite client lately. Why were at it Caroline McDonald RUS Pam Philphs RUS and Clark Seaman TTL can not make a decission to save their lives and they to play head games with staff if you need a day off to go to the doctors or court better kiss their a*s. Staff are given different directions each week on what is the correct way to do their jobs. Then we wonder why so many staff are out on administrative leave. Let us not just pick on these few Raynie Ormsby ATC can run around using the F word in front of staff and consumers she can throw her fits in front of Social workers and TTL and get away with it. Is this justice?

Karen that is the biggest joke I have ever heard.

You got good old Shane that when he isn't stoned or washing his dress sweat pants or his only sports jersey he owns he's driving taxi for his sister.

Clay (aka known as old one eye) also works for North Country Community College and has his own painting business is always at another location if you get my drift.

Brent is always to busy riding around in his jeep looking cool or at the dinner with the others. He also works at the golf course. amazing how you are supposed to work until 23 PM and at 2:30 you are on the 6th hole with the treasurer Tony.

And lets not forget lovely Christine who works 2 days a week and always seems to be on a trip somewhere or when she is supposed to be in the office has more non members hanging around the the members.

They just had a party in town for the members and out of aprox 500 people that work in the area less then 40 showed up for a FREE party. That in its self should tell you what the members think of the union.

Yes we are stuck with this crew for another year or so but they might be on the other side of the coin then and actually have to work again for a living instead of stealing from the union members.

Looks like there is no end to this overtime. Staff are starting to get hurt, causing more overtime. People are calling in because they can't get any time off.

Enough is a enough!!!! How much more overtime can the people in the RIT possible do. We are getting stuck everyday and every shift. We are averaging 10-14 on to evening shift, 4-7 on to nights, and 7-11 on to day shift (this sucks!!!!). Looks like there is no end to this overtime. Staff are starting to get hurt, causing more overtime. People are calling in because they can't get any time off.
Our wonderful union tells us to tell " your co-workers to stop calling in." This is coming from a bunch of guys who don't work the floor anymore and forget what it was like to be a staff. Our union members and our supervisors don't care because they can get any day off they want (it must be nice). I over heard a RUS say "I'm only going to use a week of my vacation and then use the other week down the road." It must be nice, they have us by the balls.
It would be nice to see this overtime go away. We just had a class of 16 go through and the RIT only got one of the new people. Tell me what's wrong with this picture. I could talk about our wonderful supervisors, but I'll wait for another day.

l have been saying for a long long while, that sunmount is run like a zoo, but Pam? thank you for your comment, be assured l have sent it to every possible gov offical out there, oh and of course the news papers. l know some of the stuff my child there (consumer) was saying was for attention, but maybe l was wrong, well l have asked the gov, and the president to look into it. and as you know. l bite down hard, when it comes to my daughter.you all have a nice day.

In response to all the reports about Sunmount and all the abuse that is going on. First if you know about or have seen abuse going on, whether it be on consumers or staff, you need to report it immediatly not a day or so later. If you wait then you are just as guilty as the perpatrator of the abuse. Second think before you report false allegations against a co-worker or consumer, there are always repercutions to these reports. I have read in these reports so much finger pointing. It makes no sense to me. It seems that the entire system is faulty. One ICAD has enough on its plate trying to meet CMS guidelines that you staff who dont want someone, consumer or staff, on your unit or in your work area should think twice before you make an allegation against them in the hopes that they will be moved. I have seen reports of people working so much overtime that they are making mistakes, well the investigators are human as well d on,t think that they get to leave it behind when they go home. Many of them bring the work home with them just so they can meet CMS,S Regulations.
Now let me hit upon administration, well there are some good people up there but there are also people who know nothing of the staff working direct care. I feel that those in power should take the time to go meet the people who are doing the direct care work. I know for a fact that there are midline administrative staff that work diligently on getting rid of employees that they concider problem employees. It makes no differance to them ( administrators )that the employee is very good at thier job or that the employee did nothing wrong. The top line administrative staff need to look at all of this. I have seen more then my fair share of this.

Here are my thoughts on a few of the issues,

1. If an employee makes a false allegation against an consumer or a co-worker ( what I mean by this is that it is either found out in ICAD or for an employee, arbitration) then there should be some kind of discipline made for that person. If it is on an consumer then abuse charges should be filed.

And as for the Union, has anyone of you who have complained about them ever given any thought to the fact that maybe they are as overwhelmed with all the c@*$p that is going on. If it is such a concern to you then go down and offer some of your time. Take the stewart course. The union can not do it on thier own. They have all six counties. Do some figuring and you will see just how many employees that is and all the issues that intails. Stand up and help them fight, and not just for yourself but for your brother and sisters in the union.
