Superior Lamp recruits sales representatives on Monster.com. I responded to thier ad because it sounded like a dream come true, one on one training, nothing required from me but ambition and the desire to sell.
They hook you like this-- with a clear indication that you will-if you accept the job; Make 50K to 60 k your 1st year with them,75 to 80 k 2nd year, and over 100 k by 4th year. They say/advertise on thier website that you will get 90 days (3 months) of "one on one" training, complete support from them, mentors, training materials,an all expense paid trip to New Jersey to thier home office, they ask for no more than 40 hours a week selling.
The clincher is after they get you all pumped up and excited, they tell you that they just need $350.00 and another $49.00 to "make sure that your serious " about working for them. I repeatedly asked what the $350.00 was for and just was told its money to make sure I was serious about wanting the job.
So they pumped me full of sunshine and praised my sales experience and convinced me that I was the very best candidate for the job.
All I had to do was send them $399.00 and then I could start. I told them I couldnt start for 2 weeks, they said in a phone interview with me that wouldnt be a problem. They said on a thursday that I would get some "training materials and supplies" shipped overnight and my package would arrive the following Monday at around 10 30 am. So I thought great I can get the materials and go over them for a week and then be ready to start the following Monday with a trainer.
Monday came and I got a phone call from them, they had forgotten to ship my materials and supplies- but they wanted me to talk to some trainers there in New Jersey. The "trainer" got on the phone with me and started his speal with me. More sunshine pumping up my a*s. Then said matter of factly that I would have to get 100 prospects in 2 and 1/2 days and to turn them in as I got them- by fax or email. I told him I didnt have any materials or training. He emailed me a little speal that I was instructed to say to prospective customers. And that I needed to hit the ground running to get 1oo prospects by Wednesday.
I couldnt believe that he/they expected me to do this with NO training or support or materials and after I had told them I couldnt start until the following Monday. He insisted and persisted and connived until I agreed I would try- without any training or materials. I went out and tried a few account prospects and realized what a fool I must look like trying to sell something I know nothing about. So I called them back and said I couldnt do this without training or materials.
They said that's fine I would get them by the next day and that I could start then. I didnt get my materials until that Friday. I was so frustrated and furious at this point. I just said screw this Ive been had. They make you sign a REIMBURSEMENT GUARANTEE that says you wont get your $350.00 back unless you sell $6000 worth of lighting orders. They did check out ok as far as complaints on the BBB site, but come to find out that the BBB does NOT take EMPLOYEE/EMPLOYER complaints. HadI seen one single complaint about them from an employee or prospective employee on the BBB Site. I would have changed my mind.
I signed the agreement mentioned above, thinking I would get 3 months of IN PERSON one on one training, and material support.
I got nothing but scammed out of $400.00!!

STOP! ..before you think about using the Better Business Bureau (BBB)... CLICK HERE to see how other consumers were victimized by the BBB's false or misleading information. Don't be fooled! It has been reported, when there are thousands of complaints and other investigations underway by authorities, the BBB has no choice but to finally give an UNsatisfactory rating to a BBB member business that is paying the BBB big membership fees every year. When a business is reported that is NOT a BBB member, BBB files WILL more likely show an UNsatisfactory rating, then reportedly shake down that company to become a member of the BBB. One positive thing about the BBB is, either way, if a business has an unsatisfactory rating with the BBB, you can be sure, the business is bad. But what about all those BBB member businesses that had complaints filed against them? Consumers never get to hear about them. What about the BBB advertising to the public? Is this a false and misleading perception they are giving about consumer confidence when dealing with a business? Click here to understand more of what consumers and business alike are saying about the BBB. You decide. ..Remember. The BBB membership is not earned, it's paid for!

Superior Lamp is the largest Heavy Duty Industrial Lamp Company in the United States with twenty-eight years experience and over 150 Representatives across the country. We sell over 900 orders a week and most of our business is of a repeat nature. Our quality product is unparalled in our field. Recently we have become aware of your web-site called Rip Off Report.com. We take issue with the fact that you publish peoples claims with no research on your part to find out if these cliams are authentic and/or genuine. The internet, as I am sure you understand, is an integral part of the market place today and it is all our responsibilities to make sure that this medium not only is a tool for all to benefits from but also is based on factual information. Enclosed is a list of testimonials written by sales people who actually work in the field for Superior. As you can see there is a large difference in opinion between those who do the work and those that find reasons not to succeed. Is this hard work? Yes it is however, those that commit to this career can earn an excellent living.
**TESTIMONTIALS**
Superir Lamp was just what I needed. I came to Superior Lamp with a desire to change my life. With their successful program and my hard work not only am I making a very good living but, I'am helping other people by teaching them the Superior System.

Teresa H. California
The last six months have been great. People have always told me I am a good sales person. Superior gave me the chance put that ability together with a quality product and I have found my niche in life.
John V. Colorado
I have only been with Superior for a short period of time but I have found is if you want to have the opportunity to work hard and finally earn what you are worth then, Superior Lamp should be on your short list of options. This is hard work but I guess that is what it takes to make a good living today.
Dan P. Indiana
If you are looking for a company that gives you combination of flexible working times and the possibility of unlimited income you should seriously consider Superior. I worked hard and followed the "System" for the first three years and not I have the ability to spend quality time with my family.
Lennox B. New York
In the past it has not been easy for me to make a good living while meeting all the concerns of my family. My family loves this opportunity because Superior gave me the structure I needed and a boatload of training that has allowed me to succeed.
Tim K. Minnesota
In my area working hard did not always mean you were going to make enough money to live the "good life". If you are willing to pay the price of working hard and going out each day following a proven sales program then you should consider the Superior option. It is a good match for me in every aspect.
