TaxNet Financial This company filed my taxes without a W2 and used my pay stub. This resulted in an incorrect tax return amount. I have also noticed that what they filed FOES NOT have my banking information for my taxes to be deposited. I was told that they filed my state taxes at no charge. I have found out this too is a straight lie.

This company is charging me $450 to file a very basic 1040. I have called them approximately 15 times and only once did they answer. The representative that I spoke with refused to answer my questions. I was advised I would get a call back in 1-2 hours. That never happened. I have sent emails which I have received no response.

I initially applied for the RAL which conveniently got denied for and thus they say put me in for automatic filing by their illegitimate filers who check nothing over, do not confirm anything and use a paystub. I have filed complaints with the BBB AND THE Chicago attorney general. The responses to those complaints have been rude and refusing to take any responsibility.

Now I have to file complaints with the IRS for fraud as they have it set up for MY return to go to THEIR account so that’s theft. In addition They filed with the paystub. This so called joke of a contract they use as their scape goat is very difficult to read and if you apply for the RAL they have you hooked. This company seems to be consistsntly allowed to do this and get away with it. Thy are lying. They are stealing and they are scamming.

Actually I Do Know Your Taxes Pretty Well

AUTHOR: Jim - (United States)

POSTED: Tuesday, February 25, 2020

You see, I know the fee structure of most tax preparers.  They charge by the page and form completed.  The only way you would ever get to a bill of $450 for the preparation of a "simple" 1040 (ha ha) is if you needed to have the EITC completed since the EITC takes up a few pages.  Add to that the RAL fee, and...you get to $450.

It isn't that hard to figure out your situation.  A REALLY simple 1040 without the EITC and RAL might cost you about $125-$175 depending....  The funny part is that no matter where you go for your taxes, these places love people like you going there to have your taxes done.  It literally takes them no more time for them to prepare the EITC except a few sheets of paper.

However, they get an additional $300 from you and they justify it by telling you that you are getting a larger refund because of them.  That additional $300 is like interest on your refund you're paying the preparer.  The EITC form is nothing but pure profit for the preparer.

Now, if you file a 1040 in February, it does take less than 10 business days to get your refund into your bank account; it often takes less than 5 business days for the state to direct deposit your refund to your bank account.  I should know - I am a CTP and have clientele I perform returns for.  2 of them already have their refunds into their bank account.  It's also why I know the fee structure.  The 10 days for the IRS and 5 for the State, is standard in February.  By the time you get to March...you can add another 5-8 business days to that.

Now, I also could have told you that you would be turned down for a RAL.  It is much harder these days to get a RAL especially with someone like you who also happens to have bad credit.  See, most people with bad credit apply for RAL's because they don't comprehend the interest rate on a RAL can vary anywhere from 40% to almost 1800% depending on the fee structure of a RAL.

Anyone with a brain would not apply for a RAL.  If it was your choice, then unfortunately you have no brain.  If you are really that smart. you could simply get tax software for less than $100 and do it yourself and not worry where the money is deposited, since it will be in your account.

You sure?

So if YOU know my taxes AND YOU know my credit this tells me you work for the company. This makes sense going off your defensive and arrogant replies. If you do have access to my information and your prying into it for no other reason then to gain information you might want to be careful. You calling me names or trying to insult me does nothing more then prove your agenda in this thread and it’s certainly not to show you have facts or knowledge of this situation.

TaxNet financial states very clearly that there is NO credit check for the RAL. If a credit check was done then

1. It was a soft pull and

2. They lied ( that of course fits with everything else thy have done).

I’m assuming since you have all this knowledge of me, you have obviously have illegally obtained that info but you would also know how many years I have filed taxes and what is and is not changed circumstances? Kudos to you for standing up for a dishonest company that sets its standards on scamming. This says a lot about you and what your trying to do with these unfounded, unsubstantiated rebuttals to me and my posts.

You can spew your words and twist your spins however you want. Personally I don’t care. The difference between you and I is I have spoke with the attorney General’s office, I have read the BBB complaints. I know how many people they have lied to, scammed and withheld money from. Yes, I should have absolutely checked into the company BEGORE I did anything and that is absolutely my bad and I have to own that.

You can skip over all the facts and only focus on the things and issues you feel make you look smart. Just be careful talking about the information you have that’s mine as I’m pretty sure you were not given permission to obtain my information or to use it improperly-

It’s personal choice

AUTHOR: Traci - (United States)

POSTED: Monday, February 24, 2020

First off, if someone chooses to get an RAL that is their choice. Weather someone feels they should of shouldn’t has zero to go with anything. It’s crazy you know my taxes - oh wait..... You don’t. See, anyone who has EIc or the child tax credit does not get their refunds in 10 days as they sit in hold until February 15th.

It seems you know a lot, however, per the IRS no, you cannot file with a paystub and they actually have the forms to report when a tax preparer does such. I will be filing this form. If one does not receive a W2 they actually have to contact the IRS. Please feel free to check that out. Ones final pay stub will actually not include everything such as 401K pay outs as one example.

You sound like one of the employees, talking like you know without getting the facts. Thus far No, the return is not scheduled to go into My account - It literally is a simple return. Oh, and yes the fee is $450 and I have the email that stated I did not get accepted for the RAL and I would not be charged any fees. Your talking with half knowledge.

I have everything documented including the now 4 emails with no response and the 20 phone calls during business hours they do not answer. In addition I was told this included my state taxes - those were not filed. Because they filed incorrectly my return is now under review - again, this is coming from the IRS. You, nor anyone else should determine if someone should or should not want/need a RAL - at the end of the day their is a morally right way as well as a legal way of business practices.

Deliberately not answering calls, ignoring emails, not completing the so called agreement THEY try to call back on, setting people up to get screwed over and taken advantage of is not okay, it’s not right and no business should be allowed to do such. Maybe you should go out there and read the many, many horror stories from people that have been hurt by this company.

Some have to do with RAL and some don’t but I encourage you to get the correct and accurate information from the proper source before you reply. Yes, I did apply for the RAL. They send the contract that states it’s for the RAL as if it was an accepted loan. Once signed, they deny charge an enormous fee, refuse to complete the process and leave you hanging.

Some people out there have had to fight like hell to get their money from them that the IRS sent. Hundreds of complaints advising the company does not answer their phones. You sit on hold for a long period of time and then get the business hour message and it disconnects. Funny thing is..... it is during business hours. They guarantee return accuracy - funny thing is mine was not accurate and yet contacting them to advise them is impossible.

Maybe you’re fine with this, that’s fine too but for anyone considering this company I want them to research. Read the hundreds of reviews and complaints and research so no one has to go through this nightmare.

Who Does a RAL Anymore?

AUTHOR: Jim - (United States)

POSTED: Monday, February 24, 2020

TaxNet Financial This company filed my taxes without a W2 and used my pay stub. This resulted in an incorrect tax return amount.  I have also noticed that what they filed FOES NOT have my banking information for my taxes to be deposited.   You can prepare a tax return with only the stub if you have no other tax document to provide - if the pay stub was not correct, then that isn't the fault of the preparer.

Your last stub would show what your YE pay should have been.  If your company adjusted your W2, then you should not have gone to a preparer until you received your W2.  Now, if they preparer directed your refund to go into another account other than yours, then that is fraud and that should be reported.  If you paid the preparer the $450 fee, then there is no excuse for that fraudulent behavior.

Now, why would you even bother with a RAL?  They're kinda dumb to get.  With the speed in which the IRS and the respective states perform their respective services, you would never need a RAL.  You can get a refund in 10 business days on the FED and maybe 5 days on the state.  Now, a $450 fee isn't a simple 1040, it also includes the attempted filing for the RAL and possibly filing for additional credits like the EITC.

There were banks that went out of business doing RAL's when a whole lot of deabeats took RAL's and then the IRS garnished the refund.  The taxpayer of course never paid the money back because of course most people who took RAL's were deadbeats with garnishment orders, and the bank never got their money back.

If you know enough about a W2 and know the company filed incorrectly, then you should be doing your own return, especially as you said - it's a simple return.  You don't need a RAL and if you have a simple return, you don't need a preparer.  It also won't cost you $450.
