I'd like to inform you of my terrible experience dealing with the company Teleflora that Amazon does business with ( I placed the order from amazon.com but the company that the have doing the floral orders is Teleflora). I placed my order on February 12, 2008 off your website for a floral delivery for February 14, 2008. Being that it was so close to Valentines Day I specifically ordered this arrangement since it had delivery (although at a higher price) still for the 14th. On the 13th I got a confirmation e-mail informing me that they got my order and that the flowers would be delivered on the 14th. I assumed that everything was processed and that my mother would receive her flowers as planned. Around 5 pm on the 14th I finally phoned my mother to see if she received my flowers and she informed me that there was no flowers delivered. As a result of a stroke, we have a live in caretaker for my father that is in the house 24 hours a day so it was not an option to think that no one was there to accept the delivery. I went to my confirmation notice and tried to track the order however, Telflora just lists their phone number or an e-mail as a contact. I called around 5:30pm and was informed by a lady that flowers can be delivered up until 9 pm! I found that shocking since the Tracy is pretty closed up by 7 pm however, I took it for what it was and hung up the phone. At 8:15 pm I called my mother again to find out the flowers still had not arrived at the house. I called Telaflora and asked them to track my order. The lady on the phone was very nice in telling me that although the florist got the order they were unable to fulfill the order in time to deliver the arrangement on the 14th. She gave me the option of having a 50% discount off the order and a new arrangement would be delivered on the 15th or to cancel the order and get a full refund. I opted for the 50% off discount and my flowers to be delivered the next day. On Friday I drove up to see my mother from Los Angeles to Tracy. I assumed by the time I got there her flowers would have arrived. To my displeasure they had not. I called Teleflora around 6 pm and got a nice gentleman on the phone. I told him the situation and he apologized. I know its not his fault, however, he's the one who took my call. I told him the point of ordering the flowers is so they would be there on a specific day since I wasn't there. If I knew the flowers would be here so late I would have brought some up from LA and hand delivered them to my mom. He assured me that the flowers would be delivered Saturday (the 16th) along with a 40% off coupon for a future purchase. I told the guy don't bother sending a coupon because I would never order from them again. My flowers finally arrived on the 19th!!! That was only after I placed several calls in between and several false promises of delivery. I think Teleflora really just wanted me to cancel the order but I wanted what I paid for. Looking back, I should have just cancelled the order, because keeping the flowers was a bigger headache. The delivery occurred at 7:30 pm and when my mom brought me the flowers to show them to me... I was so irate. It looked nothing like the picture of the arrangement. Teleflora's Heart and Soul arrangement (about a dozen red carnations arranged info a heart outlined with greenery and baby's breath) is what I ordered, however what I got was 6 carnations (one dying) with some baby's breath. No arrangement, no greenery. I could have got this from the guy selling flowers on the street. I instantly called Telefora and told them about my order. They gave me two crazy options. One was have the florist come get the flowers and Telefora would credit my account the remaining 50% or the second option of just keeping the flowers and be disappointed. Of course i told them to come get these flowers... which they did today... two days later!!!! What a waste of time.... poor business. They had ample opportunities to make this right.. they didn't. I'll be reporting this experience to BBB and every other site like this!
