I received an email from The Mortgage Law Group in August on 2011. I replied back, and was very quickly contacted by a lawyer who said all the things I needed to hear to persuade me to hire their company to help me with my delinquent mortgage payments for the value price of only $2995. I received a fax the next week, detailing all the information I needed to get to them. Sept 2011, I paid the 1195.00. I returned the needed documents, and waited. I then contacted them, they said they were agressively working with my mortgage company to reach an agreement for modification. Oct 2011, paid them $900.00. October I called them back, said everything was moving along as expected, but conviently needed updated payroll and banking information. I sent it as requested. November 2011 I paid them $900.00. My total payment is at $2995.00 the price they advised me it would cost. I thought this is paid off, great, my modification should be coming along as advised. I call the end of November, they advised it was at level 3. Progressing nicely. I called in December when they took another $500 payment from my account. They advised this was a payment just in case they needed to do appraisals or anything out of the ordinary. At that time I was advised it would now still cost me $500 each month they kept me on as a customer.

In December I gave them the updated documents they needed. And was advised it was still progressing. In January, you guessed, another $500 nicely is paid to them. I contact them, as I'm starting to get foreclosure papers in the mail.  They state they are agressively working on my account to keep it from being sold.  You guessed it, I get letters from lawyers from my mortgage company and a sale date had been set. I called the mortgage law group, they are still agressively working to save my home.  I had to borrow over $12,000 to bring my mortgage current to stop the foreclosure. This company did nothing.

About a week ago I got a letter from my mortgage company, stating I had hired a lawyer (in Aug of 2011), and they are just being notified. It seems to me that no one had even contacted my mortgage company, until the threat of foreclosure was iminent. Now, since I've cancelled with them, they are not sure if I will get a refund back or not.  So, if my calculations are right, I paid $12,000 to bring my loan current, then another $3995.00 to them for I'm really not sure for what yet???  That brings my total to $15,995.00.  And I did all the work.  Here's my advise, stay away. Run as fast as you can. Work with your mortgage company.  All I want is my $3995.00 back, since I did not receive any help at all......
