My son was robbed in your store The Net (#5) on April 2, 2010. He checked his bag with the clerk in the store. While he was trying on a pair of sneakers he laid the claim tag down. When he tried to claim his bags, the clerk told him the bags were not there. Coincidently, the clerk left the store and was not available when the police arrived. The store Manager, Ivan Mendez, was very unconcerned about the circumstances and did not offer assistance. He was not empathic and very nonchalant about the situation. I was not present (a good thing) but my 29 year old daughter was, she urged Ivan to view the video or something but he did nothing not even come outside when the police arrived. I am appalled by his behavior but the real issue is that grand larceny was taken place in your store. The values of the contents inside of the bags warrant action to be taken. The Net should be held accountable for hiring thieves and untrained personnel. My son saved his hard earned money from a part time job to visit Philadelphia. He was taken advantage of in the store as if he was preyed on by a thug in the street. He followed store policy to leave the bags with the understanding his bags were safe. This leads me to believe the professional scam running there may have happened to other victims. There are no signs that indicate they would not be responsible for stolen property. When I tried to contact their so called Corporate office someone answered the phone like it was a home number and then transfered me to a phone that no one answered.
