We had had a Thousand Trails membership for several years. Their parks were getting more and more rundown and many of our friends were leaving their system. We finally sold our membership and sent in a letter of cancellation but the bills kept coming. After some time we called and talked to their  accounting office. We were spoken to very rudely and told to send another letter. In the meantime we started receiving calls from a Ms. Broadmoor which were actually threatening with the "you had better pay or else...." and when talking with her superior (Ms. Johnson), I could see their customer service was zero and frankly they could care less about their members. After some time they finally did cancel but had charged for the whole interim period. With business tactics and rude service like that in this day and age I foresee the demise of this company and will not shed a tear!

I am pretty much going through the same thing , however I contacted them by phone on time , they dragged their feet for 2 months ( so far ) and want me to be responable to pay for the lapsed time. Did you pay them or are you contesting it ?

Cant you send another cancellation letter to them, certified mail, then after they get it, contest the charges with your credit card company?
