On March 2, 2006, I purchased 3 tickets for Spamalot in Boston for April 1, 2006. On March 2, I checked my e-mail for confirmation and saw that Tickets My Way charged my credit card $534 for the tickets and would be shipped to me "express."
I waited for two days to receive communication (e-mail) regarding the shipping but I didn't receive any messages from them. I e-mailed them (at orders2@ticketsmyway.com) asking for shipping information, but my e-mail was returned "undeliverable." I found another e-mail address from their website (sales@ticketsmyway.com) and received an "order number," different from the original order "ID."
Again, I waited several days to receive shipping notification, but alas received none. I e-mailed them again on March 9, requesting shipping information and got no response. In addition to e-mailing them, I called every number listed on their site several times a day only to reach a message on voice mail saying they were closed.
I also attempted to use their "live help" numerous times which was always "unavailable." On March 13, I printed everything out on hard copy, and faxed a letter to both fax numbers listed on their site (702.251.7469 and 702.251.7470). I was at work but I had received 3 voice mails on my home phone stating tickets were going to be in their office on March 21st, and I should receive them on March 25th.
March 25th came and went, and I did not receive these tickets. On March 27th, I e-mailed, called, tried the live chat, and faxed another letter. No response was received from any attempt to contact them.
After researching this company further, I realized I was fighting a losing battle. I contacted my credit card company to dispute the charge, as well as claim fraud. I also filed a complaint with the BBB in Nevada.
I guess the next step is to file a complaint with the Nevada authorities, but honestly as long as I get a credit refund, I'll be satisfied.
My final thought on this is why is this business still allowed to operate? Why haven't they been shut down, and why is their website still up and running, and allowed to take orders? That is the criminal side of the story. I was certainly burned, and have learned a valuable lesson about internet businesses. Caveat emptor.
