I had a car payment due on December 5, 2011 to Toyota financial services. This payment was paid on December 1, 2011 electronically and cleared on December 5, 2011. They began calling me on or about December 15th, 2011. At first I was confused thinking for sure something must be wrong. We investigated through the bank and sure enough, they had accepted the money electronically and all was well. The calls continued. At least every 2 days, even on Christmas Eve with company present...
Then they requested a bank statement-which we sent. Then they said we were all set...but the calls continued for the late payment. Then Toyota decided the bank statement wasn't enough that they wanted a bank transmittal number. So the bank calls them and we all have a three way conversation. Funny thing is the Toyota representative doesn't even know how many numbers to tell the bank this particular number should be...So, my bank gives the Toyota representative all the numbers she can find that go along with the electronic transmission. She (the Toyota rep), says, "all is well". That was on January 30, 2012 at 1pm. so, I think I am all set.
About an hour later, the phone rings and it is Toyota collections again. I hang up
On 2/1/2012, Toyota collections calls again. I ask to speak to the escalations management team (who is supposed to be handling this matter), and I am put on hold...never to be answered. I hang up after 1/2 hour.
On 2/2/2012, Toyota collections calls again. I ask to speak to the escalations management team. I am hung up on after being placed on hold.
On 2/3/2012, Toyota collections calls again. I again ask to speak to the escalations management team. I am transferred, placed on hold, and hung up on...again.
I call back, same thing happens.
I call back and ask that I not be hung up on again. I get a "real person". She promises to fix the problem.
So has 10 others before her. And every time I call, I have to repeat the same story over again...doesn't anyone put anything into the computer????
Toyota has kept my $259.97 and keeps finding one excuse after another NOT to credit my account. This has been two months.
Never finance with them unless you want to be Rip-ed OFF!!
