I bought a Smart phone from Tracfones web site it was $129.00 (roughly) I have a heart condition I’ve had 5 by-passes and one stint and I live 30 miles from the closes town and I live alone and my home phone stopped working so I needed a phone for any emergency. So I bought it on 12/6/13 it lasted a little over an hour and it quit working. I contacted Tracfone and told them that it does not work and that I really need a phone, so after going through hell talking with some guy from India I’m sure you all know how wonderful that is, he said we will replace it just send the other one back. So I wait a week and get an empty box. I called again and said I just want a refund no more of your refurbished crap, they said it will take a month after the date we receive your not working cell phone back to the warehouse before we can return your money. I’m living off of S.S. Disability I need that money to buy a real phone. I called again they said we received it on 12/19/13 it will take one month from that date to return your money. These people put my life in danger and they don’t care about my personal problems just want to keep my money. PS, Yesterday 1-7-14 Fed-ex delivered another phone I refused it I told them I want a refund NOT another refurbished piece of junk. They love money that much as to try and buy me off with another phone.

Not their job...

AUTHOR: Tyg - ()

Its not their job to care about YOUR situation OUTSIDE of YOUR phone problem. Once again the consumer looks to get a refund when they really shouldnt get one. If you made your purchase on 12/6/13 then you had ample opportunity to return the device to the store in which you purchased it in order to get a full refund. Since IM a betting man, Im betting that you probably tried to do that and was denied for whatever reason. Normally due to not having all of the packaging or damaged during your use. That means that you were directed to the manufacturer. But YOU went with the service provider to get a refund.

Try and be a bit honest here. Phones dont JUST stop working. If you had it after 2 hours it may have discharged the battery and then turned off. Or the phone was more complex then you are used to handleing and using and just want a refund because its too hard. There is no shame at your age to be intimidated by technology, but at some point you do have to learn.

Its one thing to have an actual issue. Its another thing to make up an issue. I feel this is a made up issue and your deflecting your problems on to the company. Your post is filled with nice little passive aggresive attacks meant to show your dissatisfaction. But anyone who has spent ANY time in a psych class will see this for what it is, there is SOME issue but since you really dont have a leg to stand on, you tell us how bad off you are attempting to garner some sympathy online. That way you can make the company out to be the bad guys.

You are beyond the time frame for a refund, even from the carrier. The phone they sent you was probably just your old phone with a factory reset. Odds are you will just have to learn the new phone and move forward. They are NOT supposed to care how many stints or heart attacks ect that YOU have had. THEY can only deal with YOUR phone issue. And not to put to fine a point on it, but did you charge the phone BEFORE you used it? Your ENTIRE issue may not BE an issue after all. If they sent you another phone then they probably will not be sending you a refund.
