I somehow was given membership to this organization six years ago. I noticed it on my credit card bill this year. After research, I saw that I had been billed $69.99 and then $89.99 for the last 6 years. I called the company and asked for a refund. They required me to make copies and send it to them for each credit card billing. I did so and got back a standard letter signed by no individual saying thtat they would not refund any of the monies that they had virtually stolen from me. Only after I started questioning them did they start sending me something in the mail.
I am angry and would like to find other individuals who have been taken advantage of (no pun intended) to join me in a potential class action suit. File a Rip-off Report, the more Reports filed the more likely lawyers will be interested in filing a suit.

Why did you not check your statement from month to month or year to year!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How slow can you be!!! Do you not watch the news and realize what a world we live in!!!
That is kind of your own fault for enrolling in something you weren't sure about. So many people feel the need that they don't need to check their statements because "they don't use their card" or "I'm not concerned about my identity being stolen" or "they won't get anything." People fail to realize how smart people are nowadays and have nothing better to do than to sit around and figure out how to make other peoples lives miserable and theirs better.
I used to work for a call center that enrolled people in those programs and you have to go through a process to get authorization over the phone to charge an account. Now you will know for the next time!!!
Sometimes people forget that you get what you pay for and you got what a dollar will get you. Just hang up and don't get pressured. I used to work for these people and we are trained on how to manipulate you into thinking you can "just try it." Just hang up because most of the time we don't want to talk to you either but that is our job!!!

I really do know how you feel, if you read most of the reports on here, you should already know that you are not the only one. There are a couple of things that you can do in order to "investigate" if any fraud has taken place. I to have been a victim of this "negative option" scheme...the only difference is that they called the wrong person and charged my account.
1) Call Travelers Advantage and request a copy of the authorization made. They MUST provide you with a written or audio authorization in order to comply with the law. Most of these schemes take place by outbound telemarketing calls using "pre-acquired" account information.
2) File a report with your state attorney general, the FTC, and finally the BBB...if they receive enough complaints they might take legal action.
3) Be aware that when you "supposedly" enrolled they usually charge a fee...think of that fee being charged interest..request that this fee be refunded back
4) Travelers Advantage is part of the Trilegiant corp. Trilegiant has other names they go by....be very aware of this and file a report against Trilegiant
