Truckaddons Truck & Auto Extras, LLC Unethical Employee Treatment By Owner Lexington Kentucky

I worked for this business for 10 months, I had worked for the previous owner of the place for 25 years. I worked with the BBB at this business for over 5 years to answer cases when they were Trailblazers.

I had earned 10 days of accrued vacation pay that I was given upon my re-hiring by their acting manager at the time of my hiring, and relayed to the new owner before my hiring. I was also hired and placed on Salary at the same time. I had asked for five vacation days to take care of my fiance who was having surgery for her Stage 4 Colon Cancer, and upon my return to work June 23rd, after those days, the owner only paid me for the two days I had worked and did not pay me for those vacation days or even for the full week on salary as I worked days in both work weeks.

I have worked a total of six extra work days for the owner when he asked me to (Saturdays) with no compensation given. Upon my return from my five days vacation I had asked for, the owner informed me that he was not going to pay me for any vacation days as I had not worked there a year, which was not the terms I accepted when I was first employed.  He then informed me that my job and hours would change from a salaried position that I was, to a part time position on an hourly rate in the future.

I also made a complaint to him on Monday about one of his female employees, who again in front of him, Tuesday, June 23rd, yelled at and berated me when I asked her to verify in front of him that I had indeed talked to her (in front of two other employees who will verify it) about my vacation days. I informed him that I thought that was inappropriate and it was something that has been ongoing from her in your store and makes it a hostile workplace environment for not only me but most employees of the store. The owner did nothing then or previously to her conduct and behavior towards the employees at Truck And Auto Extras, and earlier at Trailblazers.

I asked him to please consider my request again and he said no and left the response below in a text to my phone.  I have since filed cases with the U.S. Labor Cabinet and the Ky Dept. Of Labor.

This owner is not the type I would recommend buying from.  Would you?
