True Logic Financial potential identity theft fraudlent collection agency trying to collect personal information Englewood, Colorado

this company contacted me by phone and said that i owed money on a cingular or att wireless account from 2004. i have never had an account with either of these companies so i asked questions about how they got all of my information. he wouldn't tell me anything and acted very evasive. they wouldn't even tell me what kind of company they were.

he said that they had my name, phone, address, and my social security #. when they listed the last 4 digits of my SS, the very last number was wrong. When i told him it was wrong he said, well to prove that this is not your account, i will need the correct last 4 digits of your ss.

i was stupid (at the moment i wasn't thinking about fraud, but thinking that i wanted to prove it wasn't my account they were trying to collect on), and i gave it to him. then he said, well this case is closed and tried to get off of the phone. when i asked to speak to a manager, he put me on hold and cut me off. when i immediately tried to call back i got an automated system that said their business hours were over and the offices were closed.

i called att/cingular and they had never heard of this company and they did not have any accounts under my name or address.
