TXU Electric TXU Monthly Charge Internet

After years of using TXU Electric Service, a friend of mine pointed out to me about TXU's "Monthly Charge" listed on my bill.  This line gave no explanation of what the "$5.00 Monthly Charge" was for and when I called TXU, they would only say that it is a monthly customer charge. 

Now that I am with another electric company, I have a slightly lower rate but no "$5.00 Monthly Charge."  This "Monthly Charge" is a rip-off.  After years and years of being a "preferred" customer of TXU's, they were ripping me off by $60 every year.  That's additional money I could give to a charity or a friend in need of help.  This should be illegal -- it certainly is immoral. 

I will never go back to TXU, no matter the rates, on principle and because they cannot be trusted.
