i started working for unique worldwide services in july and worked there for two weeks and quit in august. i didn't make any money, i tried to make sales and every person i went to complained about how expensive the stuff was and out of all of them, some said to come back later and one actually bought something from me even though he didn't want to and now i don't blame either one of them!!

i agree myself that this stuff is too high. the cheapest product was pepper mace at 30.00 in which you can get somewhere else at under 20.00. and the highest was a drum of flamepruf for 2000.00!!! now who will be dum enough to pay that much for something while you can get cheaper and better stuff at wal-mart. that's a total rip-off.

i have to drive a hour from where i live, buying gas like twice a week for six days out of a week for nothing and every other friday night we have to go back to the office for an evaluation from 9-11 at night, not giving any consideration on people who have to drive far late at night.

he manager had promised us the next day that he would take us to look at a office space of the location we choosed and the next day, we didn't go anywhere and he didn't mention anything so that was the end of that. when i quit i thought i least would get paid for my sale, but didn't get paid at all. all i got out of it is a blow-out tire and a speeding ticket trying to get there. when the manager had read a survey on one of my customers, what i had put on there as it was told to me that he didn't have any smoke detectors or fire extinguishers and he was planning on getting some, my former manager told me i shouldv'e told him that he had a poor excuse for a house and that's fighting words.

so whoever this mr. matthews is trying to stick up for his company, i hope you know that unique worldwide services is listed in unsatisfactory condition due to unresolved complaints filed with the better business bureau. something needs to be done, before anymore innocent people answering the ad about a manager trainee job find out that they hope and dreams will turn into a nightmare and consumers spending all of their money high price junk.

Dear Consumers,

This exchange has been a fascinating study of employment schemes and the usage of shills for damage control. Youd be amazed at how often shills can effectively minimize the damage cause by indictments and bankruptciesor in this caseinjured employees. The sad thing about this company is that it sells equipment that should save lives. But it seems as though the company is more interested in turning a fast bucknauseating.

If this business were really interesting in savings lives it would hire highly qualified experts in fire equipment and home safety devices. But, noit hires people desperate for work and demands payment from them for training and a starter kit. So after a few hours of training consumers are expected to follow the advice of these safety experts.

Can you feel the bile rising in your throats or is that just indignation? Nopeits bile.
Report all of your complaints to your states attorney general. Choose your state at http://www.naag.org/ag/full_ag_table.php. Its nice to let the BBB know, but your states AGs office needs to know in order to investigate your complaints and address the issues.

Your manager is lieing to you I myself made it all the way to my last meeting. The money for the office is true. The company has many lawsuits against them currently and have been banned from the Better Business Bureaus in many states if not all. Their products are out of date and yes you may have been lucky enough to get your 10% and products but I know for a fact that over 200+ individuals in Alabama were not so lucky. If you continue to stay connected with this company, please keep this site up to date. I can promise you if you are on your bronze pin then in about a month you will be seeing the true side of UWSI (or whatever they are calling themselves now) if you stick close to your manager and make him think you are a "True" team player.

I HAVE WORKED FOR UNIQUE WORLDWIDE SERVICES NOW KNOWN AS SAFETY TECHNOLOGY FOR A MONTH NOW. THEY HAVE DELIVERED EVERYTHING THAT THEY SAID THEY WOULD. I AM NOW AT MY BRONZE PIN IN THE PIN CHALLENGES AND THEY HAVE GIVEN ME EVERYTHING THAT THEY HAVE TOLD ME THEY WOULD. MY CHECK ARE CORRECT AND THEY ARRIVE RIGHT ON TIME AS PROMISED. Less expensive and reliable....

OK, everyone--the bottom line is that the consumer can get fire extinguishers, smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors at any Wal-Mart, Home Depot, Lowes and other big retailer.

All detectors should be checked once a month to ensure they are working correctly and in the case of the fire extinguisher, fully charged and ready to go. Don't let any salesperson from Unique lull you into a false sense of security because their products don't have to be tested--that's ridiculous and dangerous. Please check your systems often. The lives of your families are far to important to be impacted by a slick salesman.

Want a good alarm system? Check your local yellow pages for a reputable alarm company that also offers monitoring. Look in business windows for alarm company stickers like ADT. You will quickly see whom the consumers vote for with their money.

I think the biggest complaint we've read about Unique is the treatment of their employees. Lets them work that outUnique will not be successful without good help. As for consumers, I recommend you stick with names you know.

Now let's all let the Unique shills get back to "saving lives. We will keep our eyes peeled for Unique Worldwide Services in the next Fortune 500 listing.

PS. For the readers: Follow this basic rule of thumb and you will OK. The faster the salesman talks the bigger the con, the more scare tactics used the more grungy the scheme.

please dont listen to the employees and managers they have to tell you stuff that you want to hear, cause they make commission off the trainees! Myhusband was a manager for 4 mo until he realized it was a scam! Actually he knew it was a scam the first month as manager, but he didn't want to quit cause he just paid 6K to get an office, just like everyone else will!

He told me after the fact that he had to lie for mr mingolo and mcadams. and the 10% commission is not worth the gas, time, sorry co. that he was working for!

This truly is a scam ,and the only reason why there's rebuttals, like i said earlier, is because these are trainees that haven't figured it out yet, or they're managers that have to defend uwsi, because they work there and they need as many people as possible so they can get commission!

Why would there be so many rip off reports of ex-employees and managers saying the same thing if they all were'nt true!hmmmmmmmmm? I guess all of them made it all up!

i am not calling myself a failure. how you taking up for this company means that you're totally committed to it and whatever wrongdoings this company represents, you back them up 100%. we need a company that is concerned about a person's well-being 100%.

we need a company that is concerned about someone fire safety needs and not drain them of money that don't have. people of low-income and on wellfare that can't hardly afford to buy anything expensive, but yet they are willing to buy protection for their family.

if you walk up to them and try to sell this stuff and they want it but don't have the money to buy it, you just walk away and find somebody else that can afford. to balance this situation for them to decide to use the money to keep a roof over their family's head, food on the table, and clothes on their back, or buy this expensive eq uipment, and they choose to buy for their family's fire protection.

that leaves them without a roof over their family's head, no food or clothing and a bunch of expensive equipment in which they won't have any use for because they been kicked out of their own home due to their small finances being drained on this equipment.

all this company represents is getting rich by ripping people off. roger morrison, my former manager told us that we have to keep going to the same people over and over again until they buy something and i think this is harassment. you keep trying to get someone to buy something with money they don't have and they end up calling the police on you.

so as long as you keep defending this company, i will keep slandering it and sooner or later this company will go down with you along with you. and all of you will be looking at a long prison sentence.

Denise, I thought America was a country where free speech is allowed.! "Shut your trap" are very strong words and I can't help but feel that your response is due to your OWN failure at reaching your goals in life.

I am sorry that you did not manage to finish your training. I guess it takes a strong willed, determined person to achieve success in life. It also takes respect for yourself and others and most of all it takes compassion and a love for people, something Unique believes in.

During my training I have met a lot of people who didn't know anything about fire safety and what to do in the event of a fire.

I am proud and I feel good about myself knowing that I am educating people on fire safety and therefore saving lives. Yes, we ARE saving lives, believe IT or not.

The products are available if they need it, and we only sell what people need. Our number one priority is to teach people about fire safety.

These are the things that my Company stress at every meeting - do NOT sell the product, sell FIRE SAFETY! Teach people how to survive and ONLY sell what they NEED to assure their survival. The homeowner (who you call a "victim") sits down with us and decides what THEY NEED in their homes to protect it. What is wrong with that?

So you see, you are losing the BIG PICTURE. All you are talking about is your own failures and NOT that of my Company.

I LOVE my work, I BELIEVE in my Company and what I do and all your false allegations will never change that. I know that I am not the only one who feels this way about Unique World Wide Services.

And as long as you or anyone else keeps attacking something good, like Unique, I will keep on defending it. So, "shut my trap?" I THINK NOT.

Unique Worldwide Services Is Not A Scam

This note is in reference to all the people that have written in to complain about Unique Worldwide Services. First of all I am an ex-employee with the company and I have no complaint about them or their ethics. The company is doing exactly what it says it does. It will put you in your office and the product does indeed save lives.

As to the allegations that the product is too expensive let me break it down to you into a simple formula that anyone can follow. You pay $100 for the product through Unique but if you were to buy it at some place else you will have to be prepared to inspect it every month and recharge it every month or it might not work.

Unique offers a ten year guarantee and will replace the product if you use it before the ten years are up, what other company offers that?...Not very many. As far as the sour grapes towards the Motto for the company is "We save lives for a living", it is true. You cant take something out of context and twist it around to make it black and white. Sure the company is out for a profit, but what company isnt?

I worked for Unique for 6 weeks and no I did not get my office, but that is because of personal reasons which forced me to leave the company.

I was not going to respond to Fraud hick at first, but then again, I figured I cannot let her have the last word, specially if it's not true.

First off, the amount given of $90, is incorrect. Also, the reason for that amount is incorrect> You see Fraud chick, before you type YOUR fingers to the bone, you need to make sure of the facts. The fee is to pay for our kit, which is replaced whenever we need it to be and then the money is refunded back to us when we finish our training. Plain and simple.

Overpriced fire equipment? Maybe in your opinion, but how much do you know of our products? Your knowledge of the company, what it does and what is stands for is very clouded. As for "attacking" people publicly. it was made a public issue by the complaint, and if you read the responses, the only person "attacking" others, is you. As for attacking your character, I don't see any attack on your "character", merely responses.

Fraud chick, why don't you find another "cause" to "defend"? Your responses are so out of line and untasteful and turning this into something that really does not exist, except in your own mind. I am proud of what I do, and nothing you say will change that.

Oh, as for saving lives. yes, I am. Do you know how many people have outdated fire extinguishers that do not work when they need it to? Do you know how many smoke detectors do not work when they are supposed to? Do you know why? Because no-one cared to check it, to inform people about it and teach them fire safety, until UWSI. Yes, they do make money, what company doesn't? But in the process, UWSI is also making a difference in people's lives by saving it, educating them and selling "qyality" products. Remember, you get what you pay for.

I do not doubt that you will respond again with sarcasm, but that is okay. I know who I am, what I believe in and what I am doing, and that is good enough for me.

2. Charges people for training. If UWSI was so fabulous as the shills say they would hire people at no cost to the employee and train them at no cost to the employee. $90 for training--pathetic.

Want a better deal? Buy from any local discount store. Want industrial quality at a low low cost--buy from Ademco.

I have said enough about the integrity of Unique already. I went and checked the reports on the BBB site and it states that there is ONE unresolved complaint filed with the BBB stated on the last THREE YEARS reports. Only ONE. show me a Company that does not have complaints against them. I am certain that Unique is doing everything they can to resolve that complaint, what ever it may be. I am sure it has nothing to do about the integrity of the Company, just a disgruntled customer, something that all companies have no matter how good they are, in some point in time while conducting their business.

I find it a shame that someone gave you a chance to become an Office Manager at Unique Worldwide Services and now you want to blame the compay for your failure. The company gave you a chance as the position was for no experience willing to train and be paid for it and you still want to blame the company. This is unbelieveable that you would even complain.



You stated the product was to expensive. Tell me of another company that carries a ten year warrenty on all their products. The prices you quoted are all wrong by the way as I went though my training last April and the figures you are giving out on the internet are all wrong. I disagree with your statement you can get better stuff at Walmart. Yes you were given an evaluation at Unique as with any company will evaluate their employees.

Maybe the reason th Office Manager did not take you to look for office space the next day was that you were not ready to be a manager for Unique as you had not met the requirements.



You stated you did not get paid for your sale. Did the custormer cancel the order? Did you contact the Office Manager? Did you contact corporate office? Send me the order

number and I will personally find out why you did not get paid and will let the others know why you were not paid on the internet. Speeding ticket cannot be blamed on Unique nor the bad tire causing a blow out.



Come on what is your problem? Yes you have figured it out I am an Office Manager. I trained at Unique and completed my training. I recieved my sign on bonus and also recieved my kit deposit back. I am very proud to work for Unique Worldwide Services and am making more money than I have ever made in my life. Do I believe in the product? Yes I do and have

them in my home.



Why do I belive in this company? We save lives and protect people from fires and educate them about fires. My dream turned

into reality when I becaame an Office Manager for Unique Worldwide Services, but I had to complete my training and meet the companies expectations of me. The people who quit never win nor or they successful.
