First of all I want to say that the old saying of If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is. That is how I felt a year ago tomorrow, 5-31-06 to be exact. My wife decided to purchase a vehicle from a local car dealer. That dealer said they had an excellent firm that financed vehicles, United Auto Credit.

Things seemed strange at first when they refused to send us a payment book. After several attempts at receiving a book, they advised that a western union or money gram was preferred payment. I thought that was odd not to send at least a coupon book with the payments listed. That was only the beginning to the madness.

One month, on fault of their own, didn't check the payments that had came in over night and started the calls. One day and it wasn't our fault. Payment had been sent Money Gram from Wal-Mart. The kind (yea right) person on the other line was the most hateful and vindictive person you have ever heard of (Michelle was her name). She proceeded to let me know that I hadn't made a payment. Not until I read her the codes off the money gram form did she finally believe me.

I know the payments should have been made right on the dot, but sometimes we just couldn't send it that day. Getting paid every two weeks, sometimes the payment would fall on a odd week, but the payments were always paid. We hit some financial hardship after our daughter had to have some surgery. All of our creditors were happy that we at least called them to explain our selves and advise of when a payment would be made. Not United Auto Credit...

The nice person on the other end of the line (Michelle) didn't care if you had a meteor drop out of the sky and crush you, she wanted to know where the payment was. So my wife called and spoke to a nice guy (David). He advised that we needed to make the payment ASAP, to which my wife advised him that there would be two payments made on 5-31-07. David agreed but when my wife asked him to fax a written agreement that she and him could sign, He refused to do so.

David (the nice guy, loser more like it) advised my wife that everything would be fine and not to worry, just send the payment's Thursday (5-31-07) and nothing would be wrong. Lo and behold 10:00am 5-30-07 a tow truck was hooking to my van as I was getting ready to go to work. I was FURIOUS to say the least. Not only had David lied to my wife but had obviously planned this from the start. He had the nerve to say that she didn't call him, we are getting phone records to back it up, although it will not do any good.

Also, be prepared to have any references listed on your application called at all times during the day and NIGHT. They will call you at work and call every one else and INFORM them of things wrong with your account. Yet when you call them you get a stick in the mud to answer your questions.

We really needed the vehicle that was taken from us, with 3 children it was needed to transport the children safely. If you are considering financing a vehicle with UNITED AUTO CREDIT CORP, Birmingham, AL 35210 I suggest trying someone else if all possible. The people that work there all have forked tounge's and would rather climb a tree and tell a lie than stand on the ground and tell the truth.

I know I was one month late, but another fault of our own was not getting the verbal agreement in writing. It's sad when your attempting to make a payment and the sorry low lives jerk the car out from under you. Never once did the payments lapse except the last month and it was going to be paid on the 31st. When asked for a last name, no one would give me their last names. How do I know who I was talking to?

If your affiliated with UNITED AUTO CREDIT CORP in Birmingham, AL, why don't you come forward and tell me who I am working with. One day it is Drew, one day David and another a girl named Michelle who sounds like the hair products have went to her head. Never could give you a straight answer on any thing other than MR SO-SO, or I'm sorry MR SO-SO. How do you sleep at night?

How can you run a business that will not accept payments from customers?

I would like to hear from you also. If you have been ripped off by UACC, let me know also. Thanks.
