I have had an account with UACC for about 2 1/2 years and here recently I have had trouble paying my vechile payment exactly on time. I might be a few days late but everytime I run into a bind during the 17th of the month and I am late they start calling with the threats of my vechile being unsecured.

This auto fianance company is a rip off because of their scare tatics to consumers about paying the account on time every month. These people don't understand what there account holders go through in everyday life. I got rip off when I bought the truck back 2 1/2 years ago.

Now I got to deal with a finance company who seems to have problems with 3-10 day late payments this is ridiculous and stupid. I have never had trouble paying for the vechile every month but it might not be on time every month. I am tired of recieving threats of repossession but when I pay it within that month then everything seems ok to them. I don't reccommend anyone using them as a finance company for anything.

Yea you just wait

I read your comment that you like this company, you just wait and see, keep being day or a couple days late, they will be calling you and your references, if you read what other people from different locations has to say you will see that we all went thru the samething including myself. This company is terrible. I know we should all pay are car payment on time but sometimes things happen financially you just haven't spoken to that nasty person from that company yet. I'm gonna wait to see when you write another ripoff complaint about this company, when they start harrassing you and your reference list. It won't be too long so I will be talking to you soon.

I am happy with this company

AUTHOR: Shannon - (U.S.A.)

I myself have been a customer of United Auto Credit for a year now. I have to say that I am pretty happy with them. When I purchased my vehicle, I did in fact receive a call explaining that there was no grace period, the due date was the due date.

Since I have purchased my vehicle, I have lost my job due to the economy. I have been out of work for 5 months (surviving on unemployment) and there have been 2 different times that I have had to make my payment late. I called them in advance to let them know that I was having difficulties and asked them if they could work with me. Without hesitation, they gave me a run down of my options and worked with me. They didnt demand anything, and that's what I like about this company.

Collection Calls

AUTHOR: George - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, March 11, 2008

UACC is a special finance company who took a risk in loaning the money for the vehicle you chose to purchase. During the interview process, the 1st payment call and the equipment varifying call it is explained to you that UACC does not have any type of grace period. At the same time you are asked the question "will you have a problem with this?". The payment is due on the same day every single month for the exact same amount just like any other finance company or bank however the only difference is UACC expects to receive the payment on or before that date due to the nature of consumers they lend money to. Why did you have to go through UACC for the loan? To build or repair your credit I bet. I know it can be frusterating with the collection calls every day however it does sound like when you needed help they gave you an extension, right? Think about it this way: Would you lend money to consumers that in the past couldn't repay their debt or were slow at paying their debt? If yes what would you do if those consumers were late on the payment to you? You can either use UACC as a stepping stone to bigger and better credit and financial institutions or you can show them they probably should not have loaned you the money when you wanted it.

**In addition with any bank or financial institution if the collateral has to be secured by the legal owner (ie:UACC) you are responsible for the remaining balance on the loan**
