About three years ago, I purchased a car through Rose City Motors in Jackson, MI.. I was newly divorced and no credit. I had been a stay at home mom. Well, on the day of signing the papers, the cost went up 40.00. I decided to think on it, and they had given me the car to drive. At that time, they took the license plate off the car. Well, I had trouble after trouble with the dealer and the creditors. I kept going, as I desperately needed wheels, for my job and to take care of my children. Few years go by and I have made payments, moved, etc.. This past March I get the check I mailed with a letter regarding my new address, phone etc.. Returned stating no forwarding address- expired. I had been mailing to a PO box, and looked up their street address and attempted to mail it again. I called the contact number I had and that too was not in service. I then emailed, sent letters to other United Auto credit companies trying to ascertain if they were part of the same company and I GOT NOT ONE RESPONSE! I continued trying to contact people, even the State of Michigan Attorney Generals office they were no help, The BBB filed my concern but again they couldn't reach the company. I am a single mom, who maintains a full time job and two kids in middle school. Well at work in May, I get a call from a Mr. Lee. He hangs up before I get to the phone. Next thing I know a man from a towing company gives me a number for Par North American, to discuss my car. They took it while I was working along with the license plate and all things inside. My kids had things in that car. They asked for my keys and 35.00 to get my things out of the car, I declined.  I have called over 50 plus times, emailed and to this date and time? I have not had one response. Lawyers I have talked too? Want money, lots to start. I had to buy a cheap car to continue working as well. I just wonder if there can be any sort of solution, justice... help! Oh and I was no behind in payments I had about a year left to pay on it as well.. But the company I began this with? Just is no where to be find! THat just doesn't seem legal!
