I hope you, unlike me are reading reports about Universal Merchant Services prior to signing any contract with them! Senior Account Executive, Zach Hampton solicited my small business. He is very personable and I now know he is very capable of lying right to your face.

Shame on me..I signed the contract and initialed each page as I told this young man how I had trouble in the past year with another merchant service company and that it had cost me money. He politely assured me I had nothing to worry about. He told me he was not a third party billing..my first bill arrives and I am now doing business with Transfirst ( a third party billing). He kept pushing the low rate of 1.6% and failed to mention anything about additional costs of non qualifying and mid qualifying fees, they were not mentioned on the neat rate estimate comparison sheet he presented showing how much I would save changing services.

I paid $800.00 to get out of the contract with the services I had been using, I made the change and now no one will return my calls. Not Zach nor his regional manager Jerry Wynn are available...funny Zach was easy to reach prior to signing his contract..

If you sign with this company they will then have a third party processor bill you.
