I was enrolled in Axia College/University of Phoenix. With only a week left of my classes, my financial aid person sent me an email stating that I needed to get a loan for all this money to be able to continue my classes. I explained to him that I was not able to get a loan, that I was a single mother, and was told when enrolling that I would not owe more than 500.00, if I would owe anything. I started working with my academic counselor in getting this resolved. Because I had attended Capella, they had taken some of my financial aide, but I had dropped them to start Axia.

I faxed copies of my DSNLD to my academic counselor. I never heard anything, then received a letter from my financial aid telling me that they had returned to my lender 828.00 because I did not fulfill my attendance requirement, and that I now owe them 717.00. I then called my academic counselor, and spoke with him on this. He said that he would get ahold of my new financial aide person and have him call me.

The next thing I get is a letter telling me that they will not talk to me until I pay this money. I have called this financial aid person a few times, and he will not return my calls. They should of never scheduled my classes if the money was not there. Now I owe a bunch of student loans for no degree, and owe them money I should not owe. My admissions counselor, Ryan Rudd, was a doll through my school time, but since owing this, he will not even return my calls. I suggest no one attend this school.
