USLAC We applied for a loan modification in USLAC May-June 2009.We comply all the required documents, including the advance payments of $2500. Later, we're told that we're denied. We agreed to their $1250 r orange county, California

We were encouraged by a family friend to apply for loan modification at USLAC around May-June 2009. At first they were helpful in getting the required documents but after about 5 months, we were told the bank denied our plea and there is nothing they can do. We paid $2500 advance as part of their requirements to process the modification. We have signed their contract ( done before the loan modification process was started) that only certain amounts will be refunded, which in our case only 50%. We have no choice but also comply with their way (which is to sign another agreement that we will not complain), so we can get at least half of the money we paid. I have been calling them, sending emails every week, then later almost everyday but to no avail. Now they are totally closed. This is big time scam. I hope someone can help us. Thanks.
