The merchant charged $1450 on September 4, 2014 for the service period of one year from the time of the purchase.  I attempted to book a vacation on five separated occasions on DTH MU’s website and over the phone. In addition, I have yet to receive any benefit or service.

December 5, 2015  I am unable to use service at the promised prices. I spoke to a representative, I was unable to get an answer to my inability to get a vacation. Agent’s response was silence.

January 24th, 2015 I am unable to book a vacation at the promised priced on DTH MU website.

February 7th, 2015 I do not see a vacation at the promised prices on DTH MU’s website. At this point, I’m suspecting that I’ve been SCAMMED. I am naively hopeful that something will come up since I have a year to book a vacation.

March 14th, I visit DTH MU’s website without seeing a vacation that I can book at the promised prices.

March 15th, I called DTH MU, aka vacationprivileges.com. I received prices over the phone for a vacation, and DTH MU prices exceeded a simple online search.  There is no value or benefit on DTH MU website. The service and representative is a scam.

DTH MU is also known as Vida Vacation.

American Express Merchant Dispute

AUTHOR: - ()

POSTED: Friday, July 08, 2016

American Express is very good about resolving merchant disputes. So I recommend you file a dispute and don't give up if the first round is denied.

Sorry to hear that this vacation time share is still hurting it's tourist. I've read that this place is one of the more egregious of timeshare scams in Mexico. American Express helped me, but you will need to write a truthful and accurate account of what took place and you will need to put some work into this disupute by a well written dispute.

By the way, I've been back to Cancun serveral times and I love the Riveria Maya Coast. You just need to know what to avoid. Easy Way rentals is the best car place with getting pressured into crazy $$ Fees and Insurance and they don't have time share sales at the rental car place either. Don't step foot into time sales place. My friend was offered a fee tour of the ground and they took her to the time sales sweat shop!!!  Also if you go shopping don't don't don't by anything expensive like jewlerey unless you are an expert in jewlerey. I've been scammed into being fake jewlery and exotic leather goods. Stay clear of the many many crooks in mexico. Even tequilla can be purchased with peace of mind in the USA rather they getting ripped off in Mexico for the same price if not higher.

I also had a horrible experience with them. I've purchased my timeshare 3 years ago, and it's been impossible to get out. I was pressured to sign a contract, and i was also scammed, they never did what they promised. We must do whatever it's in our hands to put finish to those thieves!!!
I was looking for some information about this resort and all their scam tactics, and i've found these articles that have a lot of info about them, take a look:

ISSUE RESOLVED!!! -Customer Service

I was contacted by the Resort representative and at this time they have offerend to returned our 55 week Timeshare purchase money and the Resort has refunded 50% of our money.

Customer Service has at this time refunded 50% of our money and the other 50% will be refunded upon settlement.

I'm unable to disclose the settlement details and so I must say at time I'm 100% completely satisfied.
