I couldn't believe it. We thought we had found an 'easy' way to plan a vacation to San Antonio & Sea World. We found Vacations Made Easy.com online and found we could book a hotel and various attractions together. We thought this might be a good idea. It was a terrible mistake. First we booked a 4-star hotel and Seaworld and 2 days later we were told that that hotel was full and we needed to choose another. We were told that all the hotels 4 & 5-star were booked full and all that was left was a choice between 2 3-star hotels (for nearly the same price) or 2 star and under hotels. At this point I was not told I could cancel altogether with no charge, so I chose one of the 3 star hotels. Remember they told me everything 4 star and up was booked? Well, I decided to do a little more shopping for myself. I found several of the nicer hotels available at much better prices. This is all within 1 hour of booking a vacation from Vacations Made Easy(I think they need a new name). So I decided to cancel our vacation made through them. When I went back to cancel, through the confirmation sent to me online, there was a 'button' marked 'to change or cancel' click here. When I clicked it it said, time has expired for full cancellation for partial cancellations call our 1-800 number. I did. I was told I would have to pay 30 percent. But they normally charge 100 percent. I absolutely could not believe it! I asked the Supervisor if she thought this was good business (several times-actually) she said, this is our policy and it is on our terms of aggreement. I said those terms need to be in Bold print with a WARNING as a headline. I also said I would report this BAD Business! I did that too!
So, BEWARE of Vacations Made Easy and book your own vacations online through the hotels own web sights and the attractions too! It is ALOT cheaper.

Nothing is easy

AUTHOR: Jeanette - (USA)

POSTED: Wednesday, January 20, 2010

Despite their easy-to-use website, nothing about these guys is "easy."

My wife and I booked a sailing snorkeling tour from their website for our trip to Cabo. To my surprise, the receipt contained no information whatsoever about where the tour would take place, the name of the local tour company, or even the name of the boat. Only a cryptic "11:00 AM." The phone number they provided was for a company in Mexico City where no one spoke any English.

Once we arrived in Cabo, it took our bilingual concierge several days and multiple attempts to reach anybody at that number who knew what was going on, and we found out the location just in time: the local marina, at the boat named Pez Gato.
