Valentine & Kebartas Trying to recieve letter showing I PAID OFF account with them. Hangs up on me! Refuses to help! ripoff Lawrence Massachusetts

I paid of a Dell Computer account through V&K a year ago. I personally dealt with a man named Ozzy Diaz (not sure of spelling on last name). He finally offered me a "settlement" which was less than to total balance so I went ahead and made payment. I was relieved it was all paid and done....so I thought.

6 months later I start reciving tons of calls from another collection agency saying I owe money to Dell. I explained I had already paid everything off and to prove it I would fax them a letter from V&K. I then realized I never recieved a letter showing it was paid. so I contacted V&K. I spoke to Ozzy personally and after several weeks. I guess they had to take a course on using a fax machine. they told me they would fax the letter directly to the new company.

Well that was my stupidity and I said OKAY. The other company did say they recieved the letter and all was fine. NOW Im getting ANOTHER agency calling saying I owe Dell money. This time when I call V&K I get hung up on. I spoke to someone finally and gave them my info and said could you please fax that to me. he said no problem. thanks for calling and hung up. I havnt given him my fax number yet!

I dont know what to do, the other agency keeps calling and I explained it to them. They said there have been several complaints on V&K. Well Whatever happens Im not paying another cent to anyone unless it will help shut the company down.
