This nightmare started in October of 2000 when we stepped foot on the lot at Luv's Homes in Panama City, Florida. We were lied to from the start. First we were sold a "new" home that had been at every home show in northern Florida...Which was told to us by the man who delivered it.

The salesman told us we would only have a $3500.00 lien on our property for the down payment on our house. We put the house on a different piece of property. After the 12 months of good payment on time we called Vanderbilt Mortgage to get the lien released like we were told and they told us they had a $45,000.00 mortgage on our property!!!

We fell out...what the heck happened here. So we investigated it. The mortgage was signed and notarized by the same person with no witness. The piece of paper that the mortgage was on was never signed by my husband. I was there when he signed the papers and I never saw that one. How can someone do this. Our piece of property was worth at least $100,000.00 and it was paid for...why would we jepordize that for a single wide mobile home???

Further after all that we get a notice that says our payment went from $464.00 a month to $700.00!!! We were supposed to have a fixed rate mortgage....We were so upset we told them to come and get their house....they lied to us so much we did not want it....Now they say we still owe them $26,167.52 after they sold it for $29,900.00...This is crazy...They just want our property and they should not be entitled to it...

They say they will release the lien if we sign our property over to them...We need help to get this company off our back. We have suffered enough at their hands. They are crooks and rip off artists...and thieves!!!! This has to be illegal???? and because we have no money for a lawyer they will get away with it.....We need this property to sell so we can start over...Vanderbilt has also ruined our credit with this. Why can they do this to people??? Please someone, anyone, help us keep what is rightfully ours. It is all we have left.
