Stay away from this un compassionate and money hungry place. My family and I have been taking my dog to the VCA for 13 years! We have spent thousands, and THOUSANDS of dollars at the VCA, because we were loyal, and they are very over priced. Today we got certified mail from them. When I opened and read the documents I was in complete shock. THEY HAVE TERMINATED US FROM THEIR HOSPITAL AFTER 13 YEARS! They didn't provide reason. They just wrote that it is in the best of interest of both of us. When I called them the operator apparently knew who I am. He put me on hold and came back to say that the person I need to speak to cant speak and to leave a voicemail. I asked him if knows why this would happen to anyone and he was unfriendly and catty. Then my sister called and talked to the woman who they said was in charge of this. After put on hold, my sister was told that she terminated us because "every time we come in we are unhappy with the services and are not friendly to staff". They failed to provide her with any evidence or examples of this. The woman she was talking to was very rude and just plain vile! How horrible can you be to pick on a poor dog? And we are supposed to trust this place with our pets?

 

In the documents they have made ONE complaint, from when I went to the front office with TEARS IN MY EYES COMPLAINING. Instead of anyone contacting me, THEY WERE MAD AT ME FOR COMPLAINING! What did they think was so bad? The second to last time I went their my name was never called. I greeted the front desk, and signed in, in front of them, and sat down right in front of them as well. After 30 minutes 4 or 5 people went in ahead of me. I asked why and they told me I didnt properly sign in. Even though I was sitting right in front of them no one let me know or wondered, but that was fine. They told me I can wait another 30 min and see a Dr, or come back the next day. I apologized and told them I will wait another 30 minutes.  After 40 minutes I was seated in the room with my dog. After another 40 minutes of sitting their a Dr. finally came. She asked me why I was there and I briefly told her. She was very cold and told me she has to take my dog to the ER and leave him in a cage for 1 hour ("it takes too much time to come up and get him") until someone can see him. Front desk did not tell me they will send an ER doctor instead of the specialist. I told her I am not comfortable leaving him in a cage in the ER for one hour, and that we will come in another day to have another Dr. examine him, since she was too busy to do so. When I went to the front desk to reschedule an appointment for him they wanted me to pay hundreds of dollars for services they did NOT render. With tears in my eyes from frustration I calmly explained to them that after hours of waiting no doctor examined my dog. I asked to speak to someone but the person in charge chose not to come see me. They apologized for what happened and I scheduled another visit. (By the way, when the nurse was showing me to the room I complimented her hair(see how rude I am to the staff) and she busted out her phone telling me she does hair on the side and for me to save her number because she can always use extra money.  So unprofessional, but I was polite and smiled and let her give me her number, to be nice.

 

When I came to the next visit the Dr. looked at my dog for about 5 minutes, and then took my dog to the back to take his urine for a test.  Then he told me to make another appointment for more tests. His assistant came in after that and had me sign something, and she did not even show the documents, just the last signage sheet. I explained to her that I would like to first see what I am signing for, then I see it is a bill. Front desk always asks for money not the nurse.Then she told me that the Dr. is going to email me the results. I let her know that I prefer a phone call instead, at his convenience. I guess it was rude I wanted a call VS an email about result of whether or not my dog has cushings disease. Then the front desk asked me how it went. I told them things were good but it was odd that they gave me a specialist, because when I booked the 2nd appointment I asked for a general Dr. since it was another $200. They told me they can ask if I need to pay it.  They went to ask soemone and when they came back, they said they couldn't do anything about it because I signed. I agreed to it and gave them $700 cash with a smile on my face. I figured it is nothing as we had paid over $2000 for another visit recently. Another doctor called me instead of him. She gave results to me and told me to call back in a few weeks to make another appointment for more tests. I told her she was an ANGEL.

 

Now I get a letter of termination for not being happy, signed by the director of the VCA Dave Bruyette. I am being punished for being an unhappy customer, instead of being asked why I am unhappy. That is the opposite of customer service. They did not even have the dignity to call us prior to mailing us all of our dogs documents, and letter of termination. My dog is due for those tests and he is currently sick! I was going to make another appointment today, and then got this in the mail! VCA and David, you're a joke, and so unprofessional! Clearly you do not care about our pets! I Googled David and came accross this site, where he has been noted for fraud and unethical behavior towards animals!! I also read other peoples one star reviews on Yelp and spoke to them. I see here that David has responded to other victims, and instead of addressing the matter, he has decided to correct peoples grammar and even go as far to make fun of them if English is not their first langauge. That is racist! Not only is he unethical to animals, but he is also a biggot too? What kind of health care professional acts like this? David seems to think he is running a High School, kicking peoples animals out for complaining about anything, and correcting their grammar. I felt like I was in grade school readying my progress report, when I saw that staff was writting about ME on my dogs health reports. I am digusted, and shaken up, but I am also glad I found out what an unethical place I was sending my dog, before it was too late.
