We responded to a letter we received about a free cruise. We were told the details and agreed to attend a "presentation" in Hilton Head SC. We were told the pesentation would only last one hour and no need to bring any money. In return we would recieve a six day/five night cruise for two all enclusive and also an additional three day/two night trip to one of forty-five destinations of our choice. Though this sounded too good to be true we figured we had nothing to lose. We were scheduled for tomorrow at 1:45, but at the last minute decide to check the company out on the internet were we found countless sites saying what scam this is. We wanted to thank all of you for the warning and just in case anyone was wandering they will be at the Westin hotel in Hilton Head S.C Fri. Nov. 29Th and they can be reached at 1-866-241-0658 or 803-785-7580.

Thanks again, Rob

I followed VIP Travel guidelines and still can't service, nor a refund

AUTHOR: Rick B. - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, June 04, 2008

Tiffany Sheppard, of VIP Travel, responsed to this poster's complaint. However, I followed VIP Travel guidelines, and still can't get service, nor a refund.

Here's part of my story:

When we filed a complaint with South Carolina Consumer Advocate Department ( who filed suit aginst VIP in April 2008 - pretty serious charge - must have had some very serious charges to file suit ), and later with this Ripoff Report, VIP Travel said something incorrect. They stated when I tried to use their service for travel in November 2007, they told The Ripoff Report, and the South Carolina Consumer Advocate Department (I have a copy of the response VIP Travel provided South Carolina Consumer Advocate Department), and you read what they said here on the Ripoff Report. They said: 'they had explained, and stated at the seminar where we bought the membership, and in their membership pack, any request for accommodation outside their 'major areas of concentration', was not promised their service.

Well, I am printing, directly from their membership packet: 'The VIP Travel Plan is unique in the fact that 'each' time you travel you will enjoy substantial savings. Whether you enjoy luxurious condos, cruising, all-inclusive reports, 3, 4, and 5 Star hotels, discounts on theme park tickets, restaurants, golf or RV rental, we can accommodate 'all' of your travel needs while saving you and your family money.'
(1) That's what we were told at the seminar, when we bought the membership; (2) that is what is published in their membership pack.

It appears they do not abide by their own membership publications. I have not attacked them anywhere. I have, however, stated fact, after fact, after fact.

Please review here and other internet complaint boards, do a search on
'VIP Travel' and you can decide for yourself if you wish to do business with them.

Response to using promotional items with Vacation International Professionals (VIP Travel)

AUTHOR: Tiffany Shepperd - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, February 24, 2008

If you never even came to a presentation and accepted the promotional items, how do you know they are a scam and that they don't work? We have numerous members who have used the promotional items and they have been successful. The consumer just has to abide by the rules and regulations that the promotional company has set forth, and they will be able to use the promotional items with no problem. The problem comes when consumers think it can be done all on their own terms and conditions.
