Technical terminology words used in Vodafone adds mislead and deceive the customer with excess data charges several hundred percent over what was expected.

Advertising codes of conduct have been knowingly breached to exploit consumer ignorance with the use of terms like gigabyte which is Technical measurement terminology for data but not well defined. How many bytes is a gigabyte? opinions differ depending who you talk to.

Below is an example using approximate figures.
Example upfront cost of 3 gigabytes $49.
Charge for excess data 3 gigabytes $300

Fines for breaches of the advertising code of conduct in Australia can be upto $250,000.00
