Volks anwalt Scam artists. Thieves. New York new york Internet

 My fiance was arrested for a crime that he did not commit. So immediately we started looking for a lawyer. I should have done it myself, but he did it on his own. Anyways, we set up a payment plan with volks anwalt to make it easier on us. It sounded wonderful. We needed someone other than a public defender to represent him. After volks anwalt received most of the $2,500 retainer they stopped doing what they promised. They rarely answered the phone. When they do that are rude, tell us something we already know, and them hang up abruptly. They did get the court case moved back a month, that's about it. A lawyer never showed up to court. Hell, we don't even know the lawyers name that was appointed to us. Now, we have no money to hire another attorney and my fiance has to go to court alone and will probably be convicted of something he didn't do. I want to know what we can do. Can we sue them?? Can we all get our money back?
